A new class is now
forming—“Mind-ercise,” Monday and Friday mornings 10
a.m.-10:45 a.m. Keep your mind in shape as we exercise our memories.
This activity is free to members.
April 4: Center Easter Party and Easter Bonnet
Parade. Cost: $3.00 members; $5.00 non-members, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 28 lunch is served at 11:30
a.m., blood pressure checks begin at 12:15 p.m., and the general
information meeting starts at 1 p.m. with guest speakers at 1:30.
Police Agent Maggie Duffy and Art Wynn from the State’s
Attorney’s office will be here to discuss crime prevention and
gang activities.
Thursday, March 29 features video exercise at 9:30
a.m.; aerobics at 10:30, lunch at 11:30, and the 12:30 movie is “The
Prestige” starring Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, about two rival
magicians in turn-of-the-century London who battle each other for trade
secrets.
Friday, March 30 bingo begins at 1:00.
Monday, April 2 we have video exercise at 9:30, taxes by appointment beginning at 10:00, and Eating Together at 11:30.
Tuesday, April 3 lunch is served at 11:30, computer
classes are held from noon until 3 p.m., and yoga classes are from 4:45
to 9 p.m.
On Wednesday April 4 lunch is served at 11:30, the book club meets at noon, and art class also starts at noon.
Sign up now for the hometown tour on May 16 with
the first stop at the American Visionary Art Museum; then we’ll
head to McCormick and Schmick for lunch; and finally it’s off to
the new local hot glass center for a hands-on glass blowing workshop.
Bus leaves at 9:45 a.m. and returns 4:30 at a cost of $49. This trip
involves some walking. Bring friends and family along for a fun day.
There is one week left for tax preparation, so call for an appointment.

On March 30 at 11 a.m., Gloria Garrett leads a
craft project. Lunch at noon. At 12:30 p.m., Harriet Lyn leads Tai Chi
for relaxation and exercise and Kristin will take blood pressure. At 3
p.m., join us for the Children’s Hour, an opportunity to work
with local children.
Classes in crafts, including flower arranging,
drawing and painting, are held Thursdays, 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Virginia
S. Baker Recreation Center in Patterson Park, 2601 E. Baltimore Street.
Cost is $5 per person per class, and classes will be taught by Suzanne
Evans. Register by calling 410-522-5010.
