Games People Play: The Games Club of Maryland presents Game Days at the Days Hotel, 9615 Deereco Road, Timonium. Festivities begin noon on May 3 and run until May 6 at 8 p.m. Over 200 games provided, from backgammon to Dungeons and Dragons, historical games, wargames and more. Fallen Heroes: Fallen Heroes Day, to honor police officers and firefighters who died in the line of duty, is held on Friday, May 4, 1 p.m. at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 E. Padonia Road. Camera 101: Want to learn to be a better photographer? The Baltimore Camera Club presents its One Day Camera School on Saturday, May 5 at the Mt. Washington United Methodist Church, 5800 Cottonworth Avenue, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., $50/person. On Sunday, May 6, 7 a.m.-noon, the Field Shoot course (location to be determined) will be held, $20/person. Drop-In Art: The Walters Art Museum, 600 N. Race Horse: Want to meet a race horse? Hampton National Historic site, 535 Hampton Lane, has a special guest, Wynter’s Slew (grandson of Seattle Slew) at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 6. (Call first if weather is iffy to find out if program is still on). Learn what it takes to race and train a horse, hear about foxhunting and find out about how Hampton figured into Maryland’s horse industry. Info: 410-828-0157.
Farmer’s Market! The Baltimore’s Farmers’ Market celebrates its 30th year, with fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, organic foods, smoked meats, cheeses, artwork, crafts, and more. Markets are held Sundays, 8 a.m.-sellout (usually noon), from May 6-Dec. 23, underneath the Jones Falls Expressway at Holliday and Saratoga streets.
