Friday afternoon bingo is from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Cost $2 for six cards (extra cards available-3 for 25 cents), 20 plus games of bingo.
New class now forming: “Mind-ercise.” Monday and Friday mornings 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Keep your mind in shape as we exercise our memories. This activity is free to members.
Want to lose weight, firm up, have more energy and feel better? The Spring Fitness Contest runs through May 31. Equipment at John Booth includes a treadmill, stationary bicycle and Cardioglide. Prizes will be awarded for the most time logged on the equipment and in Laura’s Easy Cardio and Balance and Wellness Classes. Weighing-in is optional and will not be made public. All exercise must be done at the center in order to be counted for the contest.

Friday, May 11: John Booth’s Annual Spring Bazaar and Bingo will be held ofrom 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Featured will be flea market tables, craft items, jewelry, books, bingo (3 cards for $.25 each game), baked goods and sweets. Lunch will also be available: barbeque on a roll, hot dogs, etc. Bingo will be played from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Come in to find great bargains, that special Mother’s Day Gift, or just to have some fun.
May 16: Members’ Meeting. Program: “Tie One On:” Show and Tell about aprons in our lives.
May 17: Red Hatters at the center.
May 23: Volunteer Luncheon at John Booth Senior Center. Prepared by the staff.

Thursday, May 10: Video exercise at 9:30 a.m., aerobics at 10:30, lunch at 11:30, pinochle at noon, computer class Part 1 also at noon. The 12:30 movie is Bobby, the story of Bobby Kennedy’s final hours focusing on the people who surrounded Kennedy on the last day of his life.
Friday, May 11: Bingo starts at 1:00.
Monday, May 14: Exercise and walking class at 9:30 a.m., Eating Together at 11:30 and a visit by Mayor Dixon during the lunch hour.
Tuesday, May 15: The second in our three week course on gang violence will be held 10-11 a.m., computer class is held from noon until 1:30, lunch will be served at 11:30, and yoga classes are from 4:45 to 9 p.m.
On Wednesday, May 16 we’ll set out for our Hometown Tour; the bus leaves at 9:45 a.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m.

Senior Friendly Fridays opens at 11 a.m. Lunch begins at noon; special events are held at 1 p.m. and Children’s Hour at 3 p.m. Senior Friendly Fridays closes at 4 p.m. Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all.
May 11: At 11 a.m., Gloria and Ben Garrett will present a craft project. We will welcome the Sweet Adelines’ Pride of Baltimore Chorus, winners of a silver medal in international competition, at 12:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., the Children’s Hour begins.
We are looking for an interested group of painters and flower arrangers to take advantage of classes, including claywork, on Thursdays from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Call Suzanne Evans 410-522-5010.
