Friday afternoon bingo is from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Cost $2 for six cards (extra cards available—3 for 25 cents), 20 plus games of bingo.
New class now forming: “Mind-ercise.” Monday and Friday mornings 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Keep your mind in shape as we exercise our memories. This activity is free to members.
Want to lose weight, firm up, have more energy and feel better? The Spring Fitness Contest runs through May 31. Equipment at John Booth includes a treadmill, stationary bicycle and Cardioglide, all at the senior center. Prizes will be awarded for the most time logged on the equipment and in Laura’s Easy Cardio and Balance and Wellness Classes. Weighing-in is optional and will not be made public. All exercise must be done at the center in order to be counted for the contest.

May 16: Members’ Meeting. Program: “Tie One On”: Show and Tell about aprons in our lives.
May 17: Red Hatters at the center.
May 23: Volunteer luncheon at John Booth Senior Center. Prepared by the staff.
May 25: M.T.A. at the center to issue I.D. cards
May 30: Coach Bus Trip to Shady Maple Restaurant and shops.

Thursday, May 17: Video exercise at 9:30 a.m., aerobics at 10:30, lunch at 11:30, pinochle at noon, computer class part 1 at noon. The 12:30 movie is “The Queen” starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren.
Friday, May 18: Bingo starts at 1 p.m.
Monday, May 21: Exercise/walking class at 9:30 a.m., massage at 10, cards at 10:30 and Eating Together at 11:30. Hatton Red Hatters will have a brief meeting at 11 a.m. and then head for lunch at Carson’s Creekside. Call 410-396-9025.
Tuesday, May 22: The final session of our three week course on gang violence will be held 10-11 a.m. with State’s Attorney Patricia Jessamy leading the discussion. Lunch will be served at 11:30, computer class is held from noon until 1:30, house council is at 1 p.m. and yoga classes are from 4:45 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday, May 23: Eating Together is set for 11:30 a.m., and art class is at noon. Our general information meeting, to which everyone is cordially invited, is set for 1 p.m. with blood pressure checks beforehand beginning at 12:15. We have invited two guest speakers: Barbara Baynes will represent Senator Barbara Mikulski to commemorate Older Americans Month. Mary Gardner will be here from the Baltimore City Health Department to present the Smoke Free Baltimore Tour.

“Extra Help” may assist and/or pay for the cost of premiums, deductibles, and co-pays associated with your prescription drug coverage. To find out if you’re eligible to receive extra help paying for your Part D prescription drug coverage attend the Extra Help Education and Enrollment Session at St. Mary’s Outreach on Tuesday, May 22, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at 3900 Roland Avenue.

Senior Friendly Fridays opens at 11 a.m. Lunch begins at noon; special events are held at 1 p.m. and Children’s Hour at 3 p.m. Senior Friendly Fridays closes at 4 p.m. Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all.
May 18: Raina and her Belly Dance Company will perform at 11:15 a.m.; bingo from 12:30-2:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., the Children’s Hour begins.
