Refugees: “Refugees: A Performance,” the first annual Herbert H. and Irma B. Risch Memorial Program, is held on Sunday, May 20, 2p.m.-4 p.m. at the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, 7401 Park Heights Avenue. Wade In! In celebration of the 400th anniversary of Capt. John Smith’s voyage up the Patapsco River, the Patapsco Wade-In and Picnic is held on Sunday, May 20, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Fort Smallwood Park. African Children’s Choir: The African Children’s Choir will perform Wednesday, May 23, at 7 p.m.  at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 306 E. 23rd St. The 21 children in the choir come from Uganda and Rwanda, and are raising money for education, emergency care and relief for 7,000 children in Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, Sudan, Kenya and South Africa.
