Friday afternoon bingo is from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Cost $2 for six cards (extra cards available, 3 for 25 cents), 20 plus games of bingo.
New class now forming: “Mind-ercise.” Monday and Friday mornings 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Keep your mind in shape as we exercise our memories. This activity is free to members.
Want to lose weight, firm up, have more energy and feel better? The Spring Fitness Contest runs through May 31. Equipment at John Booth includes a treadmill, stationary bicycle and Cardioglide. Prizes will be awarded for the most time logged on the equipment and in Laura’s Easy Cardio and Balance and Wellness Classes. Weighing-in is optional and will not be made public. All exercise must be done at the center in order to be counted for the contest.

May 25: M.T.A. will issue I.D. cards 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
May 31: Pre-Registration for Farmers Market Coupons, 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. weekdays. There is a form that must be filled out. Also, you must be 60+ years of age and must have proof of residence and proof of QMB, SLMB, PAC, SSI, Extra Help Medicare D Prescription Drug Program, Food Stamp, Food Stamp Program, Medicaid, Senior Employment Program and Foster Grandparent Program. Proof of income is no longer accepted. Distribution of coupons begins on June 14, 9:30 a.m.- 3 p.m.
June 4: Meg from Congressman Sarbanes’ office will be here to represent the congressman at 1 p.m.

Thursday, May 24: Video exercise at 9:30 a.m., aerobics at 10:30, lunch at 11:30, pinochle at noon, computer class part 1 at noon. The 12:30 movie is “Dreamgirls” starring academy award winner Jennifer Hudson.
Friday, May 25: Bingo starts at 1 p.m.
Monday, May 28: The Hatton Center will be closed for Memorial Day.
Tuesday, May 29: Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., computer class from noon-1:30 p.m., and yoga classes from 4:45 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday May 30: Eating Together is set for 11:30 a.m. Art class is at noon.
Call to schedule a massage appointment and stop by to check out and sign up for activities and bus trips in June. As a preview, on June 20 Wayne Schaumberg, a local historian, will visit to tell us about some interesting and little known facts about Baltimore Firsts. We’re also going to Midway on June 11.
Farmer’s Market voucher distribution is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Hatton Center. In order to qualify, a senior must already be enrolled in one of the following programs: Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Program (QMB—this is not the same as regular Medicare); Special Low Income Beneficiary Program (SLMB); Primary Adult Care Program (PAC); Supplemental Security Income (SSI); Extra Help with Medicare Prescription Drug Program; Medical Assistance (Medicaid); Senior Employment Program (Title V); or Foster Grandparents Program. Bring proof with either a card or letter from any of these programs.

Senior Friendly Fridays opens at 11 a.m. Lunch begins at noon; special events are held at 1 p.m. and Children’s Hour starts at 3 p.m. Senior Friendly Fridays closes at 4 p.m. Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all.
May 25: Paul Iwancio and his Take Two Duo will perform pop, jazz, blues and folk music. Scott Sharp will present gospel music at 12:30 p.m. Kristin from Hopkins will take blood pressure. At 3 p.m., the Children’s Hour begins.
We are looking for an interested group of painters and flower arrangers to take advantage of classes, including claywork, on Thursdays from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Call Suzanne Evans at 410-522-5010.
