Go Greyhound: Greyhound Pets of America-Maryland, Inc. holds its 17th Annual Greyhound Reunion Picnic at Oregon Ridge Park in Hunt Valley on Sunday, June 3, (rain or shine), 10 a.m.–3 p.m., $2 donation per family helps pay for the park. Drop-In Art: The Walters Art Museum, 600 N. Charles Street, sponsors free “drop-in art” activities for the entire family every Saturday in June, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Explore colors and shapes through printmaking, painting and collage and visit the exhibit, “Gee’s Bend: The Architecture of the Quilt,” to see how patterns are used in art today. Slippery slope: OK, so luge isn’t exactly the summer sport of choice. But on Saturday and Sunday, June 2-3, the Verizon-USA Luge Slider Search comes to Frederick, and kids ages 11-14 are invited to try the sport under the guidance of USA Luge national team coaches and athletes. The event will be held on East Patrick St. Extended, in the park and ride lot, from 9 a.m.-noon and 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Kids who show the most promise are invited to train in Lake Placid, N.Y. or Park City, Utah.
