The John Booth Senior Center has a host of programs — aerobics, line dancing, Easy Cardio Moves, Balance and Movement, singing, cards, billiards, Pokeno and bingo, to name a few. Just want to sit and relax? That’s okay, too.
Wednesday, Feb. 20: Members Meeting at 1 p.m. Sign up for seated massage with Madhu. Massages are given between 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Donation: $7 for a 15-minute massage.
Wednesday, Feb. 27: Souper Lunch followed by “Roll of the Dice Horse Races.” Enjoy homemade vegetable with ham soup, sandwich, bread, butter and hot coffee or tea before a fun game of “Roll of the Dice Horse Racing.” Cost $3 members; $5 non-members.
Every Friday is Bingo day, 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Cost is $2 for six cards to play 20 games of bingo. Snacks provided at intermission.

Thursday, Feb. 21: exercise at 9 a.m. for one-mile video walk; two-mile video walk follows. Breathing class is at 10 a.m., aerobics at 10:30 and lunch at 11:30. The 12:30 movie is “Rumor Has It” starring Shirley MacLaine, Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Costner.
Friday, Feb 22: bingo starts at 1 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 25: exercise begins at 9 a.m., taxes and massage at 10, cards at 10:30 and lunch at 11:30.
Tuesday, Feb. 26: “Faith and Life” at 10 a.m., lunch at 11:30, computer class at noon, house council at 1 p.m. and yoga from 5-9.
Wednesday, Feb. 27: Eating Together starts at 11:30 a.m. Art class meets at noon, blood pressure checks begin at 12:15 p.m. and the general information meeting starts at 1. The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) workers will visit at 1:30 to tell us about their work rescuing unwanted and neglected animals. BARCS works directly with Baltimore City Animal Control.

The Hatton Center hosted a Governor’s Press Conference to announce a partnership with Care First to cover enrollees in the Maryland Rx Program through the “doughnut hole.” Thanks to Hatton’s bingo players for sharing their time so that we could bring this important information to the community.
