The John Booth Senior Center has a host of programs — aerobics, line dancing, Easy Cardio Moves, Balance and Movement, singing, cards, billiards, Pokeno and bingo, to name a few. Just want to sit and relax? That’s okay, too.

Thursday, March 27, M.T.A. I.D. Cards issued Every Friday is Bingo day, 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Cost is $2 for six cards to play 20 games of bingo. Snacks provided at intermission.

Thursday, March 27: Exercise at 9 a.m. with a one-mile video walk; two mile video walk follows. Aerobics are scheduled at 10:30 and lunch at 11:30. The 12:30 movie is12:30 movie is “Into the Wild,” a story about a young man from a prosperous family who leaves it all behind, even donating his substantial savings to charity, to trek to the Alaskan bush.
Friday, March 28: Bingo begins at 1 p.m.
Monday, March 31: Exercise begins at 9 a.m., taxes at 10, cards at 10:30 and Eating Together at 11:30.
Tuesday, April 1: lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. Beginning computer classes are held from noon-3 p.m. and yoga from 5-9 p.m.
Wednesday, April 2: Eating Together starts at 11:30 a.m. The art class meets at noon.
The MTA will visit on Monday, April 7, from 10-11:30 a.m. to accept applications for ID cards. Applicants must be 65 or older; bring proof of age.
Seniors who are not required to file income tax returns must fill out a form to get the government stimulus rebate. Call the Hatton Center for details.
A new 10-week computer class for beginners begins on Tuesday, April 1. Part 1 is from noon-1:30 and Part 2 is 1:30-3 p.m. Our Introduction to the Internet class begins on Thursday April 3 from noon-1:30. Call or stop by to register.
We’re going to a luau to hear Tahitian drums, see a Samoan fire dance, hula, and dances of Polynesia on Tuesday, April 22. Stop by to reserve a seat.
If you’re into ‘trashy art’ now is a good time to sign up for Hatton’s art class. We’ll be decorating a concrete trash can for display in the area somewhat like the fish and crab displays of downtown Baltimore a few years ago. A new 10-week semester begins on Wednesday, April 2 at noon. Call or stop by for details.
Save the date: May 28th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. is the Senior Power Walk at Patterson Park for active seniors. $5 pays for lunch, lawn games, walking, music, give-a-ways, health screening, a T-shirt and more. Register at the Hatton Center.
