Bag It: Have some extra plastic bags, the kind newspapers or groceries come in? Both Patterson Park and the Canton Dog Park can use them. For Patterson Park, drop bags by the White House or put them in the dog bag receptacles around the park. For the Canton Dog Park, put bags in the receptacle on the small dog side of the park.

Feral Cats: The Maryland SPCA, Maryland Feline Society, Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, and Alley Cat Allies are developing free community outreach and humane education programs, and will offer low-cost spay/neuter clinics for outdoor stray and feral cats. The workshops will provide information on safe care for outdoor cats and on how to stop the cycle of breeding with Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). The workshop will address caring for outdoor cats and building inexpensive shelters, and other information. Sessions are held as follows:
