Chizuk Amuno Congregation, 8100 Stevenson Road, presents “Sailing into Uncharted Waters: President Warfield/Exodus 1947” on Wednesday, April 25, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. In 1947, the Exodus set sail for Palestine with more than 4,500 Holocaust survivors aboard. British soldiers turned the ship away wheh it reached Palestine, and the ensuing drama captured the world’s attention. Admission is free.

Watch a play on March 25 and learn about Mary Elizabeth Garrett (1854-1915) who established the Bryn Mawr School for Girls and who gave money to start Johns Hopkins School of Medicine with the condition that women students be considered for admission on same terms as men.
