Who better to sell ads for a city newspaper than someone who lives in the city?

It’s Canton resident Casey Cassell’s guiding philosophy. She’s the newest member of the Baltimore Guide’s sales staff, and is excited to be working near her home.

“This is the first job for me where I get to stay in the city and deal with all the places where I like to go and the things I like to do,” she notes.

Cassell is a Maryland resident, having grown up in Baltimore County. She later attended, and graduated from, South Caroll High School.

She completed work on her A.A. degree at Essex Community College, and went to work in various media and communications outlets.

Her background includes development and implementation of creating marketing strategies for product placement with The Hive Strategic Marketing. She has also worked as a representative for Clear Channel Outdoor, where she negotiated terms for billboard advertising and promotion.

She holds a Maryland Mortgage Originators license, and is a Notary Public of the State of Maryland.

Cassell, a city resident for six years now, is an active proponent of urban living. She is heavily involved with the Baltimore Sports and Social Club as well.

“I just really like having a job where I live,” she notes. “I like city life, having everything close by, and being able to take advantage of all the good things Baltimore offers.”

Ed Hoffman, publisher of the Baltimore Guide, is equally enthusiastic.

“We are very excited about having Casey as part of the Baltimore Guide team,” Hoffman notes. “Her hard work and enthusiasm are already making a difference in developing new advertising clients and new promotional ideas.”
