1200 block Glyndon Ave., Sunday, Jan. 22, 7:40 p.m.: Several men forced their way into a house, beat the residents and stole jewelry. The victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.

1200 block Sargeant St., Friday, Jan. 27, 6:07 p.m.: Two men asked a pizza deliveryman for a ride. After the victim dropped off the food the suspects punched him and stole his cash and cell phone.

800 block Leadenhall St., Friday, Jan. 27, 10:35 p.m.: Two men were held up by two armed juveniles who demanded they remove their jackets. One of the teenaged suspects went through the pockets, removed the victims’ wallets, ID and credit cards, and the boys fled west on Montgomery St.

1200 block S. Hanover St., Monday, Jan. 16, 10:20 a.m.: a man was robbed of cash by a man with a gun.

Unit block S. Carlton St., Tuesday, Jan. 17, 5:57 p.m.: A man getting off the bus was followed by a man and a woman. The victim increased his speed, and the suspects ran in front of him and told him to empty his pockets. He protested and the woman hit him in the back of the head with a construction cone, the man punched him in the face, and the victim gave up his cell phone and mp3 player.

1100 block Washington Blvd., Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1:51 a.m.: Two men robbed a bar at gunpoint of cash, liquor and a laptop computer.

1100 block S. Charles St., Sunday, Jan. 15, 1:30 a.m.: A police officer making an arrest was jumped by a man who pulled him down to the ground and tried to choke him. The officer’s glasses were knocked off his face. The suspect was arrested.

1800 block Cole St., Tuesday, Jan. 17, 7:52 p.m.: Two armed men confronted a group of four men and told them to empty their pockets. The victims fled in different directions and the suspects opened fire. No one was injured; the suspects fled down Vincent St.

1200 block W. Lombard St., Sunday, Jan. 1, 12:10 a.m.: A man and woman argued, and she hit him with a cell phone charger. She ran away but was arrested a short time later.

200 block S. Carey St., Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2:30 p.m.: A man leaving a check-cashing business was hit over the head and knocked out. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of a broken nose and facial fractures.
500 block E. Fort Ave., Sunday, Jan. 1, 2:45 a.m.: A man was arrested after punching another man in the face and head during a bar fight. The victim refused medical attention.

600 block S. Monroe St., Sunday, Jan. 1, 3:44 a.m.: A woman awakened to hear someone moving about in her house. It turned out to be an acquaintance of her family, and she told him to leave as she was calling the police. He left; nothing was taken.

300 block S. Mount St., Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2:40 p.m.: Someone stole a washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner and doors from a vacant house.

Unit block E. Cross St., Thursday, Jan. 5: Someone, or someones, unknown stole a black leather jacket, iPhone, keys, and two bottles of liquor from three businesses in the unit block E. Cross St. A bartender chased a man, described as scruffy, bearded, 30-39 years of age, white with brown hair and wearing a black Adidas jacket, dark pants and white sneakers. The bartender recovered the liquor and then called police, who searched for the suspect but did not find him.

200 block S. Fremont Ave., Friday, Jan. 6, 3 p.m.: Someone unknown stole medicine and a tattoo gun from a business.

1000 block S. Charles St., Friday, Jan. 6, 4 p.m.: Someone shoplifted a shaver.

Group of suspects steal engine block from parked Chevy

Robbery
Olive Street, 1600 block, December 29, 9:30 p.m. A local resident told police they were approached by two teenaged boys who threatened them with a piece of wood, screaming, “Give me your money.” One teen struck the resident on the forehead before both fled without taking anything.

S. Fulton Avenue, 400 block, December 28, 5:30 a.m. A resident told police a suspect had approached, pointed a gun and demanded money. The resident handed over cash and the suspect fled.

S. Paca Street, 500 block, December 26, 7:10 p.m. A woman told police two men had attacked her, punched her in the face and had taken her purse, then fled.

Aggravated Assault
W. Pratt Street, 2000 block, December 27, 1:28 p.m. Two men got into an argument. The argument turned physical and one man attacked the other with a machete, cutting the other’s hand. He was arrested and the victim was transported to a local hospital.

Hollins Street, 1500 block, December 26, 4 p.m. Someone broke into a house through a basement door and stole hammers.

S. Fulton Avenue, 300 block, 3:30 p.m. Someone broke into a house and stole copper piping.

W. Lombard Street, 800 block, December 28, 7:30 a.m. Police responded to a report of an arson and found that someone had set several fires. The fires were extinguished with no injuries reported.

E. Heath Street, unit block, December 31, 2:30 a.m. Someone stole the silver top off a beer keg.

Warren Avenue, 300 block, December 30. 9:45 a.m. A passerby contacted police about a theft in progress. Police arrived and found three men had removed the engine block from a Chevy parked in a back yard, placed the block in a black station wagon, and fled the scene.

Washington Blvd., 1800 block, December 30, 11:15 a.m. A man entered a store and asked for Newport cigarettes. When four packs were set on the counter in front of him, he asked for one more pack. The man grabbed the four packs while the employee’s back was turned, and fled.

W. Pratt Street, 1200 block, December 29, 9:50 a.m. Store personnel stopped several individuals from shoplifting. Police arrested the suspects.

Stockholm Street, 300 block, December 28, 3:17 p.m. Someone stole cash out of a safe at an animal shelter.

Ramsay Street, 1700 block, December 11, 9 p.m. Police reported a female victim (no age provided) was out walking when a man offered her a ride. She got into his car, and he drove behind a school and raped her, then took her purse. She was later released and contacted police, who took her for medical attention. E. Cross Street, unit block, November 24, 1:30 a.m. Police were called to the scene of an assault, and arrested one man for punching another in the nose following an argument.

Light Street, 1200 block, November 21, 4:04 p.m. A man told police he was walking to the library when a second man approached him and asked him for some of the food he was eating. When the first man refused to share, the second stabbed him.

S. Paca Street, 1000 block, November 21, 10:20 p.m. Someone used a key to enter a business and took cash and cards.

Cole Street, 1000 block, November 25, 5:10 p.m. A man tried to kick in the door of a house but could not, and fled.

Port Covington Drive, 2700 block, November 26, 12:58 p.m. Store employees saw a man take video games from a shelf and put them in his pocket. He was stopped at the front door and arrested. On November 21 at 4:33 p.m., someone was arrested in the same store for trying to take clothing.

Russell Street, 1100 block, November 24, 11:30 p.m. Police were called after a man tried to reach over the counter of a business and grab the employee’s money bag. When the employee asked the man what he was doing, he snapped, “Nothing. Get out of my face.” He was arrested and charged.

S. Charles Street, 1000 block, November 23, 3:48 p.m. A store employee saw a man steal mouthwash and razors, then run out the door.

W. Pratt Street, 1200 block, November 27, 3:50 p.m. Police arrested a man who tried to leave a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny/Pickpocket
Ravens Stadium, November 24, 7:50 p.m. A man told police three men bumped into him, and then one picked his pocket, after which the suspects scattered in different directions so that he could not chase them.

300 block S. Calhoun St., Monday, Nov. 7, 6:45 p.m.: A man threw a fist-sized rock at another man for no apparent reason, then ran away.

2000 block W. Pratt St., Monday, Oct. 31, 6:35 p.m., A suspect took money and cigarettes from a victim and fled in an unknown direction.
Aggravated assault

500 block S. Fremont Ave., Sunday, Oct. 30, 7 p.m. A victim was assaulted by an armed suspect who pointed a handgun. The suspect fled west on Washington Boulevard. No injuries were sustained in the assault.

1200 block Hull St., Saturday, Nov. 5, 1:35 a.m. A victim was stabbed with a knife after an argument. A warrant is to be obtained for the suspect.
1500 block Covington St., Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1:30 a.m. A victim was in the bathroom of a bar at this location when a suspect walked in and asked for the victim’s name. The victim gave her name. The suspect began to hit the victim, striking her back. The suspect hit the victim several times in the head with a bottle. The victim’s boyfriend pulled the victim out of the bar. The victim said the suspect has been making threats to beat her up on Facebook.

1100 block Light St., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 4 p.m. A suspect broke into a home at this location and damaged the victim’s cable.

400 block S. Calhoun St., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 6:30 p.m. A suspect used his hands and an unknown object to enter a residence and damage personal property before fleeing the scene.

1000 block Light St., Tuesday, Nov. 1, 4:10 a.m. Someone stole keys and money from a victim’s home before fleeing in an unknown direction.

100 W. Ostend St., Tuesday, Nov. 1, 5:30 p.m. Tarps were stolen from this location by a suspect who fled the scene on foot.

1900 block Wilkens Ave., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 6 p.m. Someone broke into a car and stole a cell phone, money and bank cards.

Unit block E. West St., Thursday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. A suspect stole an iPod and a knight from this location before fleeing.

2700 block Port Covington Dr., Saturday, Nov. 5, 1:55 p.m. A suspect attempted to steal deodorants and shampoo from Wal-Mart and was caught. The suspect was arrested.

1300 block Herkimer St., Monday, Oct. 24, 2 p.m.: Someone pushed a woman and stole her laptop computer, then fled. The computer is traceable with a software program. Police will follow up.

1100 block James St., Saturday, Oct. 29, 11:10 p.m.: A man stopped a woman on the street, implied he had a handgun, and robbed her of her purse, cash and bank cards.

Unit block E. Cross St., Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2:38 a.m.: A man was arrested after punching another man and stealing his watch.

700 block Washington Blvd., Wednesday, Oct. 19, 7:49 p.m.: Two men held up an office at gunpoint and stole a laptop computer, cash and candy.

1300 block McHenry St., Thursday, Oct. 20, 1:30 p.m.: A man tried to hold up another man at gunpoint. They scuffled, and the victim suffered a cut lip. Police arrested the suspect.

1500 block Ramsay St., Friday, Oct. 21, 2:42 p.m.: A man walked into a bar with a shotgun, fired a round into the ceiling, and robbed people of their cash and cell phones.

1200 block Washington Blvd., Friday, Oct. 21, 7:09 p.m.: A woman was held up at gunpoint. The suspect took her cigarettes and fled.

1500 block Cole St., Saturday, Oct. 22, 8 a.m.: A woman got a call from her alarm company, so she went home and found a man in her house. He held her up, took her wallet and fled out the back door. He had gotten into the house through the basement bathroom window.

1100 block Sargeant St., Sunday, Oct. 22, 11 p.m.: A woman’s boyfriend came home drunk, punched and pushed her and threw a glass bottle at her while she was holding their child, hitting her in the back of the head. He was arrested.

Neighborhood Watch SOBO: Man loses pants after dispute

Robbery
1800 block Jackson St., Sunday, Oct. 9, 9:05 p.m.: A man was robbed at knifepoint of his cash, food, phone and keys.

300 block S. Woodyear St., Sunday, Oct. 9, 3:30 p.m.: Two boys walked into a store and bought candy. One of the boys stayed behind and tried to get behind the counter, was stopped, and then tried to reach into the cash register. Failing that, he hit the counterman and ran from the store.

500 block Parkin St., Wednesday, Oct. 12, 10:40 p.m.: A man approached a female cabbie and asked for change for $20. She said she did not have any change and started to close the door of her cab. The man grabbed the door, preventing her from closing it, pulled a gun and said “You know what time this is, b——, kick that ——out.” She gave the robber her cash, and then the robber demanded the key to her cab, which she also gave him.

Police investigating homicide: Asking public to call or text info if possible

S. Calhoun Street, 200 block, Monday, Oct. 10, 10:12 p.m. Police responded to a call regarding a shooting, and found a 17-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He was taken to ShockTrauma, but was pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m.

According to reports, the victim was in the rear even side of the 1400 block of Kuper Place. No information about suspects or motive is available, however, and nor is information on any previous criminal history of the victim.

800 block Ryan St., Thursday, Oct. 13, 10:25 p.m.: A man was held at gunpoint in his house and robbed of his wallet, cash and phone.
1100 block Light St., Friday, Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m.: A store was robbed of clothing.

800 block W. Lombard St., Sunday, Oct. 9, 3:30 a.m.: A woman and her ex-boyfriend fought and when she tried to leave he stopped her and threatened to throw her belongings out the window, then picked up a stick and swung it at her. He was arrested.

1700 block W. Pratt St., Monday, Oct. 10, 7:15 a.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole cash.

1700 block Light St., Tuesday, Oct. 11, 6:20 a.m.: A man broke into a room in a rooming house and fell asleep. When he awoke police arrested him.

200 block S. Fremont Ave., Monday, Oct. 11, 2:10 p.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole laptop computers and iPads.

1600 block Ramsay St., Wednesday, Oct. 12, 5 a.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole netbook computers.

‘Baskets of Plenty’ donations needed

The Southern District Police Community Relations Council meets on Thursday, Nov. 16 with buffet opening 6:30 and meeting at 7 p.m.

The SDPCRC is also planning its “Baskets of Plenty” and is beginning to collect canned goods and non-perishable foods.

Larceny
500 block W. Pratt St., Sunday, Oct. 9, 11:30 p.m.: A couple argued after returning from dinner, and the man went to take a shower. The woman stole his fire department turnout gear valued at $15,000, put it in the trunk of her car and drove off. The man tried several times to reach her by phone and his calls were not returned. A warrant is out for her arrest.

100 block S. Paca St., Wednesday, Oct. 12, 5:30 p.m.: Someone stole a wallet containing cash and identification from an office.

1400 block Battery Ave., Thursday, Oct. 13, 9:30 p.m.: A bicycle was stolen.

Larceny from auto
Stolen from various vehicles parked in various places: A GPS, a manhole cover, clothing, an iPad, camera, stereo and a pair of pants with change in the pocket.
