Armed robbery—carjacking
1200 block S. Carey St., Tuesday, Oct. 4, 10 p.m.: Police arrested a man for stopping a motorist and stealing his 2002 Ford at gunpoint. The car was recovered and towed to the Southern District for further investigation.

700 block Washington Blvd., Saturday, Oct. 8, 10:55 p.m.: A man walked into a carryout and robbed it at gunpoint, making off with $300 cash. The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, about 150 pounds, wearing a black hoody and black jeans.

Aggravated assault
1700 block W. Pratt St., Thursday, Oct. 6, noon: A woman stopped by her sister’s apartment to pick up her children. She was stopped in the hallway and told that the children had been put out of her sister’s apartment for a time. She argued with her sister, who grabbed two steak knives and threatened and cursed her. The front desk assistant stepped between them. The suspect was arrested.

1400 block Washington Blvd., Friday, Oct. 7, 9:43 p.m.: A man was assaulted; he could not identify his attacker.

1100 block S. Paca St., Monday, Oct. 3, 4:15 a.m.: Someone tried to break into a house.

1200 block W. Lombard St., Monday, Oct. 3, 5 p.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole a dehumidifier.

600 block Portland St., Tuesday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m.: Someone broke into a home and stole laptop computers, a television and an XBox game console.

500 block Portland St., Wednesday, Oct. 5, 4 a.m.: Someone broke into an apartment and stole cameras.

Aggravated assault
1900 block Light St., Monday, Sept. 26, 5:16 p.m.: Someone broke into a house but apparently did not steal anything.

400 block S. Parrish St., Wednesday, Sept. 28, 8:50 a.m.: A couple argued. The suspect threw a pipe at the victim, missing her but shattering the glass in the oven door, and then threw furniture and a lamp, which also missed her. He was arrested.

1900 block S. Monroe St., Wednesday, Sept. 28, 11:15 a.m.: Four men argued. Three of them beat the other with a baseball bat while a pit bull but him on the thigh. The suspects fled, two on foot and one on a scooter. The suspect was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

800 block Harvey St., Saturday, Oct. 1, 8:35 p.m.: A man was asked to leave during an argument, and refused. Two men tried to lead him out of the house but he attacked them with a beer bottle, then ran. The victim was taken to the hospital and a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.

100 block S. Schroeder St., Wednesday, Sept. 28, 12:30 a.m.: A man broke two side windows of a bar trying to get in, but fled when a police officer saw him.

1500 block Cole St., Thursday, Sept. 29, 7:15 a.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole a laptop, jewelry and cash.

300 block S. Parrish St., Friday, Sept. 30, 8 a.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole a black purse which was later recovered.

1100 block Race St., Friday, Sept. 30, 11:30 p.m.: Someone opened the rear window of a house in an attempt to break in, then fled. Nothing was stolen.

1100 block Race St., Saturday, Oct. 1, 1 a.m.: Someone got into a house through an unlocked window and stole jewelry, then fled. The suspect also moved the victim’s girlfriend’s car but did not steal it.

A pizza delivery employee robbed of money and chicken wings at gunpoint

Robbery
100 block Montgomery St., Sunday, Sept. 18, 8:40 p.m.: A deliveryman for a pizza shop was approached by a man who asked “is that order of wings for me?” and then pulled a silver handgun, cocked it, and said, “Busted.” Another suspect got behind the deliveryman and took the food while the first suspect stole the victim’s cash.

1300 block W. Cross St., Sunday, Sept. 18, 8:50 p.m.: Two teenagers tried to rob a woman of her cell phone. They hit her in the head, and she dropped the cell phone, which broke. The boys then fled. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

800 block W. Lombard St., Sunday, Sept. 18, 10:20 p.m.: A man was robbed at knifepoint of his cell phone, watch and cash.

100 block W. Lee St., Monday, Sept. 19, 6:15 p.m.: A man was clearing away trash and leaves when two men walked up to him and tried to rob him. The victim ran and the suspects fled.

100 block Callender St., Wednesday, Sept. 21, 10:30 p.m.: A man was robbed by two males who implied they had a gun but did not show one. They escaped with the victim’s cell phone and cash.

Carjacking: McHenry and Poppleton streets, Thursday, Sept. 22, 5:56 p.m.: A man was pistol-whipped and robbed of his cash, cell phone and a 2008 Nissan car.

1800 block McHenry St., Saturday, Sept. 24, 7:24 p.m.: A man was approached by two men who asked him if he wanted to buy some things. The victim said “no” and the suspects showed him a gun, hit him in the head and went through his pockets. They made off with his keys and cash.

1200 block Washington Blvd., Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1 a.m.: A woman was beaten and suffered a fractured skull and facial fractures. She would not identify her attacker.

400 block S. Parrish St., Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1:40 a.m.: A man held up two victims at gunpoint but fled emptyhanded.

100 block W. West St., Wednesday, Sept. 14, 8:15 p.m.: A pizza deliveryman called at a house and the woman inside said she did not order pizza. A man shouted “Over here, that’s mine.” The deliveryman turned around, and a second suspect pulled a gun and demanded cash. The first suspect held the deliveryman by the neck and searched his pockets, stealing $16. Both suspects fled.

1200 block Sargeant St., Friday, Sept. 16, 1:11 a.m.: A hack picked up two men who asked to borrow his cell phone. Both suspects stood outside the truck while one of them argued with his girlfriend, then both got in the truck and asked to be taken to Sargeant St. Once there, one of them pulled a gun and said “Sorry to do this to you man, but give me your money,” and took his wallet. Then the suspect demanded his truck and the hack refused. The suspects shattered the rear window and fled north on Carey St.

900 block Booth St., Friday, Sept. 16, 4:10 p.m.: A man was approached by four youths who asked if he had a dollar. He said no, and the youths punched him, knocked him down, kicked him and went through his pockets. They stole his prescription medication and fled. The victim refused medical treatment.

2000 block McHenry St., Saturday, Sept. 17, 3:46 p.m.: A man stole a scooter and cell phone at gunpoint.

2000 block Wilkens Ave., Sunday, Sept. 11, 2:25 a.m.: A man was hit over the head with an unknown object. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. A suspect was arrested for the attack.

700 block E. Fort Ave., Sunday, Sept. 4, 3 a.m.: Three men assaulted a drunken man and stole his wallet and cell phone. The victim refused treatment.

1200 block W. Pratt St., Monday, Sept. 5, 12:40 p.m.: A group of 5-7 men accosted another man, rifled his pockets and stole his bank card.

500 block S. Monroe St., Tuesday, Sept. 6, 4:20 p.m.: A man was standing in a parking lot when he felt a hard object pressed to his temple. A man told him to “give me the money.” The victim swung round, grabbed the victim’s hand and pushed the gun toward the sky, then pushed the suspect. The suspect fled. The victim suffered scratches but refused medical treatment.

200 block S. Fulton Ave., Tuesday, Sept 6, 4:22 p.m.: A man held up a grocery store at gunpoint. He held a black revolver and said “Give me the money.” He escaped with an unknown amount of cash. No one was injured.

800 block Hollins St., Thursday, Sept. 8, 2:30 p.m.: A man told police he was meeting “this guy” to sell his motorcycle through Craigslist. The “buyer” arrived with two others and asked to hear it start. The buyer then asked to ride the bike, and when the seller refused, the buyer began to choke him. One of the buyer’s companions told the seller to give them the bike or they would shoot him. The victim gave them the bike.

700 block Carroll St., Thursday, Sept. 8, 11:10 p.m.: A man pulled a gun and stole a store’s receipts plus cash from the store employee.

1200 block Sargeant St., Friday, Sept. 9, 12:30 a.m.: A woman told police that she was robbed by two men wearing black clothing and ski masks. The suspects stole the victim’s purse and fled.

300 block S. Fulton Ave., Sunday, Aug. 21, 12:45 a.m.: A woman told police she was sitting in the living room when a woman came into the house with a handgun saying “Where’s your _____? The suspect put the gun to the woman’s forehead, took her purse and fled. The victim said there was another person outside the door, possibly a lookout.

500 block Parkin St., Thursday, Aug. 25, 11:45 p.m.: A man and his wife had just closed their carryout and were in their car when two men began to bang on the passenger window with a handgun, saying “Open the door!” The man got out of the driver’s side of the car and the suspects stole his day’s receipts and fled.

1400 block McHenry St., Thursday, Aug. 18, 11:15 a.m.: two men were arrested for kicking another man in the head and trying to rob him. Nothing was stolen and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

100 block S. Schroeder St., Thursday, Aug. 18, 10:50 p.m.: A man got off an MTA bus, and immediately four or five boys riding past on bicycles shot at him with a pellet gun. The victim felt a sharp pain in his right forearm but refused treatment.

100 block W. Hamburg St., Friday, Aug. 19, 12:30 a.m.: Police responding to a call found two men wrestling on the floor. Police broke up the fight and found that the victim asked the suspect not to touch his radio. The suspect punched the victim in the face and knocked him to the floor. The suspect had been drinking, and spent the rest of the evening at Central Booking. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

1800 block W. Lombard St., Friday, Aug. 19, 4:30 p.m.: A 17-year-old boy was shot in the calf.

1600 block Harden Ct., Saturday, Aug. 20, 3:30 a.m.: Police responding to a distress call found a man bleeding from his mouth and nose. Police arrested a suspect, who said that he beat the man because the victim is gay. The victim told police he was out walking when the suspect punched him in the face, kneed him in the groin as he fell, and then kicked him in the face and sides. A witness told police he saw the attack but did not want to get involved.

2000 block Wilkens Ave., Tuesday, Aug. 9, 10:42 a.m.: A man punched a woman and hit her with an iron. The suspect was arrested and the victim treated for bruises to her right eye, left arm and left side ribs.

1800 block Westphal Pl., Wednesday, Aug. 10, 1:02 p.m.: A man confronted his brother about money owed him. He went to a court commissioner for a writ, and when he returned home his brother beat him with a black cane and sicced a Boxer dog on him. The brother was arrested.

1200 block W. Lombard St., Wednesday, Aug. 3, 7:58 a.m.: Police found a woman wandering naked in a house on Lombard St. She had a head wound and a stab wound to her chest. The victim told police that she argued with a housemate and the argument turned physical. Police arrested the housemate, who had apparently punched the victim, stabbed her with scissors and beaten her with a crutch.

1900 block Eagle St., Friday, July 29, 4 p.m.: A woman told police that as she was getting off the bus a man approached, placed a hard object to her side and demanded money. She replied that she had no money and he grabbed her backpack and ran. Police later found her backpack; the only thing missing was her cell phone.

2700 block Port Covington Dr., Saturday, July 30, 8 p.m.: A man walked up to the cashier at the customer service desk at Wal-Mart and paid a dollar for a bag of chips. He then put a handwritten note on the counter that said “Give me the money or I’m going to blow your brains out.” A second man reached over the counter and took cash from the register. The cashier screamed and the suspects ran out of the store through the front door.

1600 block Wilkens Ave., Monday, July 25, 9 a.m.: A man was arrested and charged with forcible rape.

1900 block McHenry St., Monday, July 25, 5:55 p.m.: A woman was arrested for assault.

Hollins St. and Carrollton Ave., Saturday, July 30, 1:07 a.m.: A warrant was obtained for a man who assaulted a man and a woman. Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Burglary
1100 block W. Pratt St., Sunday, July 24, 4:29 p.m. Police responded to a burglary in progress and arrested two suspects. The victim told police that the suspects used to be friends with her son, but were no longer friends because of a previous theft. Police said the suspects were banging on the victim’s door and threatening to hurt her. Nothing was stolen.

1500 block Covington St., Wednesday, July 20, 5:48 p.m.: A man told police that he and a friend were chasing a man who they said had attacked another friend. The pair chased the suspect to his house, and the man ran inside. The pair told police that they did not run into the house, and that the suspect came outside and hit them with a baseball bat. Police investigated and found that the pair did run inside the house, and so no charges were filed.

S. Sharp Street, 800 block, July 3, 10 p.m. Two suspects pulled a gun on a teenager and demanded property.

Aggravated Assault
Woodall Street, 1400 block, July 6, 4:20 p.m. Police investigated an assault call. No further information was available.

Burglary
W. Ostend Street, 100 block, July 8, 6:30 p.m. Someone broke into a house, took property (undisclosed) and fled.

W. Hamburg Street, 100 block, July 3, 9:15 p.m. A man told police a suspect had hit him on the head with a brick. No further information was provided.

Hollins Street, 1100 block, July 5, 6:30 p.m. Someone broke into a business and stole liquor.

S. Gilmor Street, unit block, July 5, 1:02 p.m. Two men forced open the front door of a home to try to gain entry. They fled when they saw the homeowner.

E. Heath Street, unit block, July 8, 2:30 p.m. Someone cut the chain off a gate, but did not take anything.

Robbery
1300 block McHenry St., Thursday, June 30, 12:29 p.m.: Two men broke into a house, chased the woman inside and demanded her cell phone. She refused, and the suspects said “You’re going to get it,” and ran out the back door.

Randall St. and Battery Ave., Friday, July 1, 1:45 a.m.: Two women were robbed of their purses by two men, one with a gun. One of the victims was hit in the head with the gun.

1600 block Elkins Lane, Friday, July 1, 3:45 a.m.: Three men broke into a house and robbed the resident of her cell phone. The suspects told the victim they were police, but were not dressed like police and did not show badges.

500 block S. Sharp St., Saturday, July 2, 10:30 p.m.: A 17-year old was robbed of his shoes by six male teenagers who punched him in the back of the head and pinned him to the ground.

1100 block S. Hanover St., Tuesday, June 28, Two men, one of them armed with a gun, robbed a man of cash. Police said the suspects fled west on W. West St.

1100 block Hollins St., Wednesday, June 29, 6 a.m.: Someone broke into a home.

Unit block Parkin St., Wednesday, June 29, 9:30 a.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole a computer and jewelry.

900 block Washington Blvd., Thursday, June 30, 12:30 p.m.: Someone pried open the rear door of a house and stole a computer and a camera.

2000 block W. Pratt St., Friday, July 1, 1:10 p.m.: Police arrested suspects for breaking into an apartment through a second floor rear window. They told police that they were trying to retrieve their belongings.

200 block E. Barney St., Saturday, July 2, 3:45 a.m.: A man told police that he got a call that his alarm was sounding. One of his windows was open and his camera, which had been stored on a shelf, was on the floor. Nothing was taken and nothing was damaged. The man told police he might have left the window unlocked.

800 block W. Lombard St., Saturday, July 2, 6:51 p.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole a computer.
