Stolen in S.E.: A violin and a front-end loader

Robbery
S. Broadway, 200 block, October 11, 9:10 p.m. A man told police he had been out walking when he noticed four men following him, One picked up a rock and threw it at him, striking him in the head. They then knocked him down, punched and kicked him and took $200 cash and fled. On the same day at around the same time and in the same block, a man left a restaurant carrying some food and was attacked by two men he did not know. They knocked him to the ground, took his wallet and food and fled.

N. Bouldin Street, 500 block, October 11, 9:21 a.m. A woman told police she was in her house when she heard a window break. She ran downstairs and saw a woman she knew only as “Angel” who screamed at her “Yeah, Poo, come outside, I’m’a take all your s—t.” The suspect then grabbed a Kodak printer and took it, placing it into a late-model Pontiac. She then re-entered and took a TV, but since it would not fit into the car, she left it behind. The victim told police she might have recognized “Angel” as a woman with whom her mother had been involved in a fight over the summer. “Poo” was the nickname of someone the victim knew, and she was able to supply “Poo”’s real name and address. Police will follow up.

N. Glover Street, 600 block, October 10, 7:15 a.m. A woman told police she and her ex-boyfriend had become involved in a fight. During this incident, he took her Cricket cell phone and also pushed and slapped her. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.

Fairmount Avenue, 2700 block, October 16, 6:48 a.m. A senior citizen told police he was out walking when two men approached him and asked for his name. He ignored them and they confronted him, saying “Where is your money?” They patted him down and then pushed him over and took $250 cash.

Claremont Avenue, 3700 block, October 9, 11:23 p.m. A man told police he had been approached by a man whom he did not know. The suspect threatened him with a handgun and said, “What time is it?” and then “Kick it out.” He robbed the man of $250 cash, his phone and a set of car keys.

N. Patterson Park Avenue, 100 block, October 9, 8:10 p.m. A child told police she was sitting outside her house when a man ran up and pushed her, demanding the computer game she was playing. He grabbed it from her, then fled. She told police she had seen him in the area previously.

Fleet Street, 2900 block, October 8, 10:14 p.m. A woman told police she and her friend were robbed at knifepoint. The suspect took a purse, wallet, checkbook, phone and keys.

Eastern Avenue, 6300 block, Spetember 22, 3:40 p.m. A teenager told police he was robbed of $60 cash while waiting at a bus stop. The suspect knocked him to the ground and punched him, then took the cash and ran.

Aggravated Assault
N. Robinson Street, 600 block, October 13, 7:42 a.m. Police responded to an anonymous call about an assault. A woman at the scene told them her husband and she had been involved in an argument after he accused her of not telling the truth. He threw water on her to wake her up, and hit her with a baseball bat, then poked her in the eye. He was arrested at the scene.

Eastern Avenue, 1400 block, October 13, 10:20 p.m. A man told police a homeless man had tried to stop him from entering a self-storange business. When the man tried to push past him, the homeless man threatened him with a knife and pepper spray, saying “You can’t go in there, I’ll cut you,” and “You better cover your nose ‘cause I’m gonna spray you and there’s nothing you can do about it.” The man flagged down a passing car and asked the driver to call police. Upon further investigation, police discovered contradictory statements made by the victim. Investigation is ongoing.

S. Haven Street, 200 block, October 10, 7:30 p.m. A man told police he and his girlfriend had an argument that turned physical after he tried to move out. The woman then pulled a knife and allegedly stabbed the man. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

S. Collington Avenue, 1800 block, October 10, 2:33 a.m. A woman told police she and a suspect, described only as a black female wearing a blonde wig, had bitten her on the leg, then fled after a friend intervened to help. The friend was also injured when the suspect struck her on the head with a stick.

S. Washington Street, unit block, October 11, noon. A man threw a phone at a woman’s screen door, and she confronted him to make him stop. He hit her in the mouth with a stick. When police arrived, he was still in front of the house and was arrested.

E. Fairmount Avenue, 3200 block, October 10, 12:51 a.m. A woman told police her ex-boyfriend had grabbed her and attacked her with a knife. She was taken to the hospital for her injuries but was able to provide her attacker’s name and address.

Robbery
McElderry Street, 3300 block, October 6, 2:30 a.m. A man told police a second man, whom he did not know, had pointed a handgun at him and said, “I will bang on you.” He then drove away.

N. Rose Street, 400 block, October 6, 12:30 a.m. A man told police he had parked his scooter in his backyard when two of his friends had approached him and attacked him because he had called a woman (who was not present at the time) a bitch. The man’s friends pulled him off the scooter and attacked him, punching and kicking. They then fled.

Fagley Street, 100 block, October 2, 8:30 p.m. A woman told police she and a man had gone into a bar to visit the owner, but a man had yelled at them to get out. He had then pulled a machete from behind the bar and chased them outside, where they called police. The man told police he did not have a machete, but it was recovered from a nearby garbage can, and a pair of brass knuckles was found in his pocket. He was arrested.

S. Broadway, 700 block, October 1, 10:50 p.m. A woman told police she was out with her friend when a man she did not know had started an argument with her. She told him, “Nobody wants any trouble,” but the man punched her in the face several times. A fight ensued and the man choked the woman. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

N. Highland Avenue, unit block, October 9, 12:36 a.m. A man told police a second man, whom he had never seen before, had pulled a machete on him and said, “You want trouble.” The first man told the assailant he was calling police and the second retreated to his vehicle. The assailant was later arrested and found to be intoxicated.

Dundalk Avenue, 600 block, October 8, 2 a.m. A man told police he had been knocked off his bicycle by a man who then rode away with it. The suspect was apprehended and arrested while trying to hail a cab.

Saint Matthews Street, 200 block, October 7, 11:30 a.m. A woman told police she and her boyfriend had gotten into an argument because when she awoke, he was standing over her with a bat. He then began dragging her around the house and punching her, threatening to beat her with the bat if she didn’t give him the jewelry she was wearing. He took her jewelry and fled. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

E. Fayette Street, 3000 block, October 5, 8 p.m. A man told police he had come to the city to buy a dirt bike from a man he knew only as “Johnny.” “Johnny” eventually showed up and pulled a handgun and robbed the man and his friend of his wallet and $3350.

N. Highland Avenue, 400 block, September 29, 8:10 a.m. A woman told police she was getting her child out of the car when a man approached her from behind, put her in a chokehold and said, “Give me what you got.” She handed him her keys and money, and he fled. She later found the keys in an alley.

S. Conkling Street, 200 block, September 27, 2:40 a.m. A man told police that while out walking, a red-haired homeless woman whom he knew only as “Tabitha” had swung her purse at him and threatened him with physical violence. She ripped his glasses off his face and then fled.

S. Chester Street, 200 block, September 27, 10:30 a.m. An elderly woman told police a man had run up and grabbed her purse, then fled. She tried to chase him, but fell.

E. Fayette Street, 1900 block, September 27, 2 p.m. A man told police he was listening to music on his mp3 when a suspect ran up and said, “This is mine,” indicating the player The man said, “No, it’s not.” The suspect threatened him with a knife and took the player and fled.

S. Clinton Street, 1000 block, September 27, 10:10 a.m. Two men entered a store and began to ask questions of an employee, then pushed her to the ground, took money out of the register and grabbed cigarettes as well. Both then fled.

S. Macon Street, 600 block, September 26, 8:45 p.m. Three white men got out of a large SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition, and identified themselves as police officers. They went through a man’s pockets, stole $200 cash and then fled. One was described as being age 35-40, 6’1” and wearing a white T-shirt, blue jean shorts and a red hat. One was described as being about 40 with a white T-shirt, short black hair and speaking broken Spanish. Another was described as being in his 30s, about 5’8” with short hair, and wearing a Hawaiian shirt with black pants.

E. Baltimore Street, 800 block, September 26, 2:10 a.m. A man told police that while he was out walking, three suspects approached him and ordered him to give up his money. They attacked him, then robbed him of $100 cash, got into a white Mercury and fled.

Holabird Avenue, 6100 block, September 26, 1:02 a.m. A convenience store worker said a man had entered the store and said, “Give me your damn money.” He then approached a second employee, who said, “May I help you?” The suspect said, “Are you going to give me money?” The employee said, “No.” The suspect fled and was arrested a short time later.

E. Lombard Street, 1800 block, September 26, 10 p.m. four men were inside a house when a group of men came to the door and identified themselves as police officers. Police seeking info on Southeast homicide and shooting

Police are seeking any information that might lead to arrests in two serious crimes over the past week. In both cases, those with information may remain anonymous.

Homicide
E. Fayette Street, 1400 block, September 28, 4:06 p.m. Police responded to a report of a shooting, and found Antonio Blackwell lying near the entrance of a carry-out restaurant, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. According to reports, Blackwell, 26, was standing in front of the restaurant when he was approached by a suspect, described only as a thin black man. The suspect pulled a gun, fired on Blackwell, then fled.

Blackwell was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:28 a.m.
It is unknown whether Blackwell spoke to his assailant, or whether the two knew one another. Police also noted they do not currently have information as to whether or not Blackwell had a criminal history at the time of his death.

On the Hot List: Hair extensions, wallets and a pulled pork sandwich

WANTED FOR IMPERSONATING POLICE-The above suspect, MICHAEL PATTERSON a 35-year-old white man, is wanted for impersonating a police officer, then robbing individuals. He has been working in the company of two other white men, and they are driving a Ford Expedition (possibly beige with an unknown tag number), with a Ravens sticker on the back windshield. If you see Patterson, do not approach or detain him; insead, contact Detective Tony Clark of the SE DDU at 410-396-2429. Your tips can remain anonymous.

E. Lombard Street, 3800 block, September 24, 6:15 p.m. A teenaged girl told police two other teens (whose names and addresses she could supply to police) had attacked her and robbed her of cash and a bag of hair extensions.

S. Wolfe Street, 200 block, September 24, 9:30 p.m. A man told police he was out walking when a group of men pulled up in a car and gestured for him to put his hands up. They said, “Don’t look at me,” then took his wallet and fled. The vehicle had a Ravens sticker in the back window. One suspect left behind purple latex gloves as he fled.

Fagley Street, 800 block, September 23, 6:30 a.m. A man told police he opened his door and allowed three men to enter. He was able to supply first and last names and addresses for two of them but knew the others only as “Shane” and “Jersey.” The men hit him in the face with a bottle, beat and kicked him, and kept repeating, “gimme the bail money for Brittany.” They took $300 cash and fled.

S. Broadway, 200 block, September 23, 12:10 a.m. A man told police he was standing outside a bar smoking when a man asked him for a cigarette. The man refused to give one up, and the suspect attacked him.

S. Macon Street, 400 block, September 22, 10:30 p.m. A man told police he was sitting on some steps when a green Ford Explorer pulled up and three white men got up, impersonating police officers. They said, “Hi, I think we are looking for you.” They showed him a picture of a man and asked, “Are you Jose?” He said he was not, and they told him they needed to go into his house. He let them in, and they took his wallet and fled. They are described as follows: One man wearing a round badge with a chain, about 6’ tall with a thin build and a lip piercing; one about 6’1” with a heavy build and short hair with a chain around his neck, a police duty belt and a black handgun; and one about 5’4” with a thin build and a chin-strap build and a badge around his neck.

Brentwood Avenue, 6700 block, September 21, 12:54 a.m. A convenience store clerk said a man had walked in, pulled a gun, demanded money and fled with $200 cash and a carton of Newports. He also robbed a customer on the way out, taking cash.

N. Highland Avenue, 200 block, September 21, 9:51 a.m. A man pulled a gun and robbed a sub shop of an unknown amount of cash and a pulled pork sandwich.

Cardiff Avenue, 6100 block, September 19, 10:10 p.m. A man was delivering pizza when a suspect pulled a gun on him and robbed him of his wallet, his cash and a pizza.

E. Lombard Street, 1900 block, September 23, 7:55 p.m. A man told police his son had asked him for money, and that he had refused. The son started yelling, then pulled a knife on his father and cut him, saying, “I am going to kill you in your sleep one day.” Police were called and the son kicked his father in the groin twice while being arrested.

‘Gift’ from ‘friend’ turns out to be a head wound

Aggravated Assault
S. Broadway, 800 block, September 17, 1:15 a.m. Police responded to a report of an aggravated assault and found one man suffering from stab wounds to the neck, being held down while another circled him with a knife. Investigation revealed the two men had become involved in a knife fight. Both were arrested and charged accordingly. The victim had his wounds treated at a local hospital as well.

N. Kresson Street, unit block, September 17, 4:24 a.m. A woman told police she had been sitting on her front porch with a man when at last she told him she was tired and was going to bed. After she had locked her door, he began banging on the door. He then climbed on the porch roof and broke a window screen by banging on it. She allowed him in, then escorted him back out the door, whereupon he began throwing objects at her, including a porch swing and a flower pot. Police were called and he was arrested. The woman told police the man had only been a friend of hers and that the two had not been involved in a relationship.

S. Regester Street, 500 block, September 15, 9:10 p.m. A man told police he had been drinking with a female friend who said to him, “Come outside; I have a gift for you.” When he went outside, she hit him in the head with a board. He told police he had no idea where his friend lived.

S. Broadway, 700 block, September 15, 12:10 a.m. A woman bleeding from facial wounds told police she had been assaulted by another woman who was armed with brass knuckles, and was able to point out her assailant to officers. The victim also told police the woman had a gun. While interviewing individuals, police saw the suspect throw something under a truck. A B.B. gun and brass knuckes were recovered. The suspect, who was arrested, provided a false name to police. It was revealed she had smuggled her brass knuckles into a nearby bar, despite the fact that the bar was supposed to inspect all purses and persons entering. The group had begun arguing inside the bar after someone in one group allegedly bumped into someone else.

Eastern Avenue, 6200 block, September 17, 2:35 p.m. A man walked into a grocery store and implied he had a gun, saying “Open the register and give me all your money.” The clerk put the money in a brown paper bag and the suspect fled.

Boston Street, 6200 block, September 16, 10:30 p.m. A man told police he was attacked by a group of suspects who then took his wallet and fled.

Fleet Street, 1600 block, September 15, 1:48 a.m. A man told police he had been withdrawing money from an ATM when a second man, who appeared to be waiting to use the ATM, had pushed him out of the way, grabbed $80 cash and fled with it.

S. Patterson Park Avenue, unti block, September 15, 12:20 a.m. A man told police he was out walking after leaving a bar when two men got out of an SUV and told him they were police. The man, who was intoxicated, thought one of the suspects might have been named “Big Fred.” The suspects frisked him, took his wallet, pocket knife and box cutter, then fled.

Curley Street, 100 block, September 10, 12:42 a.m. A man told police he was parking his 10-year-old Chevy Impala when he looked up to find a second man pointing a gun at him and saying, “Give me the keys.” The driver surrendered his keys and got out of his car, and the suspect drove off, accompanied by a second suspect.

Elrino Street, 1500 block, September 6, 9:25 a.m. A woman told police she had just dropped her daughter off at daycare and was walking along talking on her cell phone when a man grabbed her phone and ordered her to give up money. She handed him $221 cash and he gave her back her phone, then fled.

E. Baltimore Street, 2600 block, September 3, 5:10 a.m. A man told police he was approached by four men who beat him with a stick and robbed him of his wallet, cell phones and shoes.

Aggravated Assault
E. Lombard Street, 3700 block, September 10, 2:30 a.m. A man told police he and his girlfriend were leaving a bar when they saw some people involved in a street fight. The couple told one of the individuals involved in the fight (whom they did not know) to get into their car so they could take him home. When they dropped him off, another man approached the unknown person and hit him in the nose, then ran into a house. Police arrested the suspect. A suspect from the street fight, known only as “Nagro” is also being sought.

Aliceanna Street, 1000 block, September 8, 9:57 p.m. A man told police he was in a restaurant when he noticed two men were arguing. One pulled a gun on the other, then the suspect left the premises. The victim, who had drunk 8 to 10 beers while in the restaurant, said he had asked the assailant to borrow his cell phone, and had dropped it, causing the argument.

S. Broadway, 200 block, September 8, 9:18 p.m. A man told police a second man had asked him for a cigarette. When the first man said he had none, the second struck him in the head with a brick.

S. Potomac Street, 700 block, September 8, 10:30 p.m. A man told police he was attacked by his girlfriend and her two brothers. He told police he and his girlfriend had become involved in an argument earlier in the day.

S. Broadway, 100 block, September 5, 8 a.m. A man told police he had been drinking with some men he did not know. When the alcohol was finished, they attacked him and left him.

1600 block E Pratt St., Monday, Aug. 29, 2:00 a.m. A told police he was out walking when suspects approached him from behind. One of the suspects grabbed him around the neck and threw him to the ground. they stole his phone and fled.

6100 block Holabird Ave., Monday, Aug. 29, 2:48 a.m. A suspect pulled a gun from his waist area and pointed it at a store clerk, who then removed $50 from the register. The suspect then fled the store.

200 block S East Ave., Aug. 29, 10 p.m. A woman told police she was sitting on her front steps talking on her phone when suspects approached her and snatched the phone, then fled.

2400 block Boston St., Monday, Aug. 29, 10:20 p.m. A woman told police while while she was walking in the block, a suspect walked by her and said, “Hello,” then tried to grab her purse. The victim started to scream and the suspect let go and fled. No property was taken.

400 block S. Conkling St., Wednesday, Aug. 31, 7:44 p.m. A man told police that two men had attacked him while he was out walking, then had taken his laptop.

Aggravated Assault
4900 block Midline Rd., Tuesday, Aug. 30, 5:56 p.m. One man stabbed another in the neck and back. A passerby took the victim to the hospital, but did not leave a name or any details of the incident.

400 block N. Robinson St., Thursday, Sept. 1, 2:55 a.m. A man told police his father, who had been drinking, came home and found the man’s girlfriend in bed and unclothed. The father became angry, got a bat and attacked the man.

400 block S. Washington St., Thursday, Sept. 1, 11:40 a.m. While standing in front of a bar, a homeless man started arguing with a a second man. The homeless man then pulled a knife. He was arrested shortly thereafter.

4400 block E Fayette St., Saturday, Sept. 3, 1:30 a.m. An office responded to this location and found a man suffering from a gunshot would to the back.

Burglary
5500 block E. Lombard St., Monday, Aug. 29, noon. Someone entered a vacant warehouse and stole copper piping valued at $5,000.

6800 block Conley St., Wednesday, Aug. 31, 6 p.m. Someone cut the lock to a shed door and stole a yellow Suzuki motorcycle, a blue Yamaha motorcycle and three helmets.

1900 block Thames St., Wednesday, Aug. 31, 6:20 p.m. A man told police his Sharp 47-inch television had been stolen by an intruder. A local worker the man knew only as “Eddie” told the man he had heard a loud noise earlier.

Unit block S. Castle St., Friday, Sept. 2, 10:45 a.m. Someone stole a 13-inch television, Nintendo Wii, a black book bag and a bottle of hydrocodone. It was believed the suspect entered and left through an unsecured rear window of the apartment.

Van Deman Street, 2100 block, September 2, 4 p.m. Someone entered a yard and took aluminum beams and extenders.

N. Highland Avenue, 100 block, September 2, 9:55 p.m. A woman fell asleep at a bus stop and when she woke up, her purse was missing.

Eastern Avenue, 6300 block, September 1, 11 a.m. A man tried to return an extension ladder, which he had stolen from a home improvement store, and receive a refund. He was arrested instead.

Hudson Street, 6600 block, August 31, 1 p.m. A woman told police she noticed that two envelopes full of money had been taken from her dresser. A suspect was named to police. The woman’s suspicions were supported by the suspect’s actions about having suddenly acquired a great deal of money in small bills.

Broening Highway, 1500 block, August 31, 6 p.m. A taxi driver told police he picked up a fare in Towson, and that upon reaching the city, the man asked him to stop at an ATM so he could get money. When the driver stopped, the man jumped out and fled without paying the fare.

Boston Street, 2300 block, August 28, 4:50 p.m. A man was seen trying to shoplift Monster energy drink and cookies by putting both items in his pants. They were removed and he was arrested.

Robbery
Eastern Avenue, 2300 block, August 27, 3 a.m. A man told police he had been robbed of his cell phone and $60 cash by a suspect who threatened him with a knife, then cut him on the arm.

Fait Avenue, 2600 block, August 27 2:20 a.m. A man and woman told police a suspect in his 40s had threatened them with a hatchet and then robbed them of $12 cash.

Fleet Street, 3600 block, August 26, 12:21 a.m. Bar personnel called police and told them they had been robbed. Police found two suspects nearby and noticed one of them throw something into a trash can. The two suspects were detained and police inspected the garbage cans and found items of clothing believed to be consistent with what the suspects were described as wearing at the time of the robbery. The suspects were arrested.

Holabird Avenue, 6600 block, August 25, 9:31 p.m. Police responded to a report of a robbery at a sub shop. A worker told them she had taken an order from a man who then placed his hand under his shirt and said, “This is a robbery. I’m not playin’ so give me all the money.” She handed him $150 cash and he fled.

O’Donnell Street, 4800 block, August 25, 2:55 a.m. A suspect described as having a white male with a teardrop tattoo under his eye robbed a convenience store of three packs of cigarettes and some cash, then fled. He pulled a gun and told the employee, “Give me all the money in the register or I will pull the trigger.” He then fled with the money.

N. Rose Street, 500 block, August 24, 8:45 p.m. An elderly man told police he and his wife were in front of their house and two suspects approached, then threatened the man with a gun, saying, “Give me money, old man; I’ve got a gun.” The elderly man’s wife saw what was going on and beat the suspects with her crutches. The suspects fled with the man’s wallet, with the wife in pursuit.

E. Lombard Street, 3700 block, August 21, 3 p.m. A man said he was sitting on some steps when two men approached with him, brandished a handgun and demanded the keys to his car. They fled with his keys and car, a 2008 Dodge Avenger.

Eastern Avenue, 5700 block, August 21, 2:20 a.m. A man told police he had been approached by a suspect who said, “I want it,” then punched him in the face and together with another suspect, knocked him to the ground, then fled.

E. Fayette Street, 2300 block, August 15, 1:15 a.m. A woman told police she and her boyfriend had been arguing and that they had dissolved their relationship while on the street. He then grabbed money from her and fled. He was arrested and the money returned to the woman.

Robbery
Fait Avenue, 3100 block, August 20, 2:20 a.m. A man told police three suspects threatened them with a gun and said, “Empty everything.” They fled with the man’s keys, wallet and cell phone as well as a pack of Newports.

E. Baltimore Street, 2700 block, August 20, 2:32 a.m. A man told police three suspects had threatened him with a handgun and said, “Empty your pockets.” The man said, “Be cool, I’m putting my stuff down,” then ran away so that the suspects got nothing.

E. Fayette Street, 1300 block, August 18, 2:40 a.m. Two men told police they had gotten into a cab along with two other men they did not know, who had told them they would pay half the fare since they were going to approximately the same place. When the first two men got out, the second said to them, “Give me what you have or I’ll shoot your brains out.” The suspects took a wallet and two cell phones and fled.

E. Fairmount Avenue, 2000 block, August 17, 9:45 p.m. A woman told police she was tackled by a group of suspects who robbed her of her purse and fled.

Fait Avenue, 2400 block, August 16, 8:23 p.m. A man told police a child had ridden up to him on a blue mountain bike and implied he had a gun, saying, “Give me your cell phone.” The man punched the child and threw his bike down. The child fled. The man would not cooperate with police any further after making his statement.

N. Decker Street, 100 block, August 16, 7:48 p.m. A convenience store worker told police a man had walked into the premises, grabbed a juice bottle and a bag of chips, paid for it and then pulled a gun and robbed the store of money from the register. He then fled. Police and the worker will follow up.

S. Ann Street, 300 block, August 15, 12:40 a.m. A woman told police she had been robbed of her purse by a man who had covered half his face with his shirt. She was visibly terrified and the man gave her back her purse, telling her not to be so afraid, that he had just gotten out of prison and had bills to pay. He made her promise not to call police, then fled. She called police as soon as he was out of sight.

E. Jefferson Street, 2900 block, August 12, 9 p.m. A man told police two suspects, one of whom was wearing Aeropostale clothing, had threatened him with a knife and demanded a cigarette. When the man said he did not have one, the suspect punched him, robbed him of his bookbag and fled.

Aggravated Assault
Leverton Avenue, 3400 block, August 20, 12:27 a.m. A man told police he and his girlfriend were arguing about the quality of their relationship, and that the girlfriend had grabbed a kitchen knife and screamed, “You want to call police,” then when he tried to hold her back, she hit him in the face. She slashed his tires and broke his phone, and was arrested on the scene a short time later.

S. Dallas Street, 300 block, August 20, 3:01 p.m. A woman told police she had gotten into an argument with a second woman who was about 60 years old and 200 pounds, and that the woman had said, “I am going to hit you later,” and then attacked her with a baseball bat and fled.

N. Potomac Street, unit block, August 20, 4:55 a.m. Police responded to the report of a woman lying in the street, screaming and crying. She told police her ex-boyfriend had picked her up from the hospital and had taken her to his house and would not let her leave.. She finally left, and her ex-boyfriend, along with three women approached her, attacked her with a bottle and stomped on her. He then fled.

Eastern Avenue, 5800 block, August 19, 8:42 a.m. A man told police his friend had hugged him, angering a nearby homeless man, who attacked them with a cane and was arrested. The homeless man was found to be very drunk.

N. Front Street, 100 block, August 19, 6:04 p.m. Two homeless men got into a fight on church property and one of them stabbed the other. Another assault took place on the same property around the same time between several other homeless individuals, two of whom were known only as “Gucci” and “Star.”

Dillon Street, 2900 block, August 19, 11:47 p.m. Police responded to a report of an aggravated assault between two men, neither of whom wanted to press charges. One man began screaming profanities at a crowd who had gathered. When told to stop by officers, he fled. Police gave pursuit and an apparent friend of the man attacked one of the officers, hitting him in the face with a high-heeled shoe. she was arrested. The shoe was recovered and submitted as evidence.

Streeper Street, 500 block, August 16, 10 p.m. A teenaged girl told police a suspect had thrown a rock, hitting her on the head. She did not see her attacker.

Glover Street, 600 block, August 15, 2 a.m. A woman told police she had gotten a call from her cousin, who told her another relative, a man, was ‘acting crazy.’ She came over to the house and found the man striking [Read more...]

Robbery
Unit block N. Washington St., Friday, Aug. 12, 11:35 p.m.: A man was held up at gunpoint and robbed of his car keys, house keys, iPhone and shorts. “I want it all, _________,” said the robber after taking the victim’s wallet. Give me your pants and keys.”

400 block Joplin St., Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2:30 p.m.: A man who was babysitting told police that two suspects, one male and one female, forced their way into the house when he answered the door. The woman held a knife to the neck of a four-month-old baby and the male suspect said “Give me everything or she will cut the baby.” The suspects made off with $200 cash, a brown wallet with ID, four gold chains worth $2,500 and three gold bracelets worth $1,400.

6300 block Eastern Ave., Saturday, Aug. 13, 12:52 a.m.: A man walked into a convenience store, pulled a gun and said “I’ll shoot you. You have two seconds to give me all the money.” The suspect made off with $100 cash and two packs of Newport cigarettes.

1200 block Steelton Ave., Friday, Aug. 12, 11 p.m.: A man answered the door and allowed a man he knows as “Bear” into the house. “Bear” punched the victim in the face, knocked him out, stole $750 from his left front pants pocket, and took two bottles of Opama and Oxycontin from the top of his television set.

2600 block E. Baltimore St., Saturday, Aug. 13, 3:50 p.m.: A man riding his bike in Patterson Park was stopped by two men who said “We like your bike.” The victim tried to ride away but the suspects pushed him off the bike and also stole his backpack which contained cash, a BlackBerry phone, an iPhone, wallet with personal papers and a silver money clip.

200 block S. Wolfe St., Saturday, Aug. 13, 8:15 p.m.: A woman was jumped from behind and robbed of her purse, BlackBerry phone, wallet with ID and credit cards and her car keys. The suspects then stole her car, a 1999 Honda Accord, black two-door with Indiana tags CAN 237.

3000 block E. Pratt St., Wednesday, noon: A woman walking with her infant granddaughter through a park was robbed of her purse containing $255 cash, credit cards and a cell phone. Neither victim was injured.

1800 block Eastern Ave., Sunday, Aug. 7, 11 p.m.: A man was kicked and beaten and robbed of his cell phone.

2400 block E. Fayette St., Monday, Aug. 8, 8:10 p.m.: A man walked into a deli and asked the counterman to make him a sandwich, then asked for a pack of cigarettes, then pulled a gun and robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash.

Aggravated assault
200 block S. Highland Ave., Sunday, Aug. 14, 2:44 a.m.: A man arguing with his mother pulled a knife and lunged at her. The suspect’s son stepped between them to protect his grandmother. The suspect, who was very drunk, fled in a red 1999 Ford pickup truck.

300 block S. Macon St., Tuesday, Aug. 9, 3:20 a.m.: A woman was arrested for hitting her live-in boyfriend over the head with her shoe and scratching him.

6900 block E. Baltimore St., Monday, Aug. 8, 3 p.m.: A man hit and choked his girlfriend while stealing her cell phone, then ran to a neighbor’s house. Police arrested him there.

Unit block S. Kresson St., Monday, Aug. 8, 8:30 p.m.: A man was shot in the leg by unknown suspects.

1700 block Bank St., Monday, Aug. 8, 1:55 a.m.: A cabbie was playing his music very loud, and a car with four men inside pulled alongside with the windows down. One of the suspects told the cabbie to turn his music down, and he refused. The car then followed the cab into the 1700 block of Bank St., where they cut the cabbie with broken glass bottles.

2900 block Pulaski Hwy., Sunday, Aug. 7, 2 a.m.: A couple argued, and the man spat at the victim and hit her in the head with an empty can of air freshener. Police arrested him a short time later.

100 block S. Broadway, Sunday, Aug. 7, 12:12 a.m.: A woman told police that a man she didn’t know bought her a case of beer for her birthday. When she tried to go back into a bar he got angry and hit her over the head with two of the beer bottles, causing cuts to her face and head.

1600 block E. Pratt St., Thursday, July 28, 4:30 p.m.: A man driving eastbound on Pratt Street was stopped at a light. A man walked up to the car, smashed the driver’s side window with his fist and fled.

6600 block Hudson St., Wednesday, Aug. 3, 7:58 p.m.: A man pushed and hit his pregnant girlfriend and her four-year-old daughter. Police arrested him at the scene.

Burglary
100 block S. Potomac St., Wednesday, Aug. 10, 12:23 p.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole a 46-inch television and the alarm system control box.

800 block S. Lakewood Ave., Wednesday, Aug. 10, 5:57 p.m.: Someone tried to break into a house by removing the screen from a rear window but could not get in.

300 block S. Bouldin St., Thursday, Aug. 11, 1 p.m.: Police responding to a burglar alarm noticed that the rear door had been kicked in. The bedroom drawers had been rifled through. The victim told police that her iPad was missing.

200 block N. Washington St., Thursday, Aug. 11, 7:15 a.m.: Someone broke into an office and stole a laptop worth $1,000.

Aggravated Assault
Boston Street, 2900 block, August 6, 6:26 p.m. A homeless man told police he was sitting on a bench when his brother, also homeless, approached him and pushed him off the bench, saying, “Where you keeping my money at?” When the first homeless man advised his brother he had spent the money on crack cocaine, the brother became irate and pulled a box cutter, screaming, “I’m’a cut you, bitch.” Both were noted to have an odor of alcohol on their persons. A warrant was issued for the assailant’s arrest.

S. Macon Street, 500 block, August 5, midnight. A woman told police her male friend had approached her, asking, “Why you get me locked up?” The two began arguing and the argument turned physical. The man got the woman in a headlock and she bit his thumb and would not let go until passersby pulled them apart. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest.

Kane Street, 500 block, August 5, 9:25 p.m. A woman told police she and her boyfriend had argued over drugs, and that the man had thrown vinegar in her. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Mullikan Court, 1400 block, August 5, 2:30 a.m. A woman told police she was walking out of her house when her baby’s father approached her, saying, “I’m gonna kill you, bitch,” then lifted his shirt to display a handgun. She fled and contacted police. A warrant was obtained for his arrest.

Esther Place, 3300 block, August 1, 12:08 a.m. Police were called by a local hospital after a man was brought in, having been beaten by an assailant wielding bat. While at the hospital, he became unconscious, and also appeared to be drunk. He is described as a Hispanic male. Police will follow up.

N. Highland Avenue, 200 block, July 31, 10:27 p.m. Police found a 19-year-old man sitting on some steps and bleeding from a chest wound. He was taken to a local hospital and evaluated, then pronounced in good condition. He told police he had been attacked by two men with whom he had been involved in a confrontation the previous week.
N. Kresson Street, unit block, July 30, 10:30 p.m. A woman told police her husband had attacked and beaten her with a cane. He was arrested and found to be intoxicated.

N. Highland Avenue, 400 block, July 17, 7:12 p.m. A man told police his landlady and he had been drinking together, and that she had struck him between the eyes with a pair of grip pliers, then left. The man refused to get a peace order, telling police he wanted to go out and get a beer instead. The landlady was later located and arrested.

Lancaster Street, 1700 block, July 1, 11:57 p.m. An officer on patrol stopped a man who was driving erratically. The officer tried to distract the officer from looking into the car, and when the officer leaned inside the car, the driver accelerated rapidly, striking the officer. He was pulled over and arrested a short-time later, and told arresting officers that he didn’t know the man who had stopped him before was an officer, despite the fact that he was in uniform at the time.

S. Patterson Park Avenue, 100 block, August 6, 10 p.m. A woman told police she was out walking with some friends when a man pulled a silver handgun on them and said, “Get down and throw everything out.” He robbed them of their purses, wallets and cell phones, then fled.

S. Patterson Park Avenue, unit block, July 5, 12:40 a.m. Police found a man bleeding from the side of his face. He told police he was out walking when he was attacked by two suspects who then took his cell phone and wallet.

Holabird Avenue, 6700 block, August 5, 12:40 a.m. A man told police he was walking home from a bar when he was approached by four men who asked for a cigarette, then when the man told him he didn’t smoke, they said, “How about if we just take all your s—t?” He told them he was retired military [Read more...]

Darryl Debro (left) is wanted for questioning only, in reference to an armed robbery and the purchase of stolen goods. Police detectives note that since the above left photo was taken, Debro has lost significant body weight due to drug use. He is 5’9” tall. Jerry Jule Hercum (above right) is wanted in a string of weekend robberies in Canton. He is known for waiting until bars close, and following groups of women who are leaving bars or restaurants. He is 5’11” and 200 pounds. Those who see or have information on teither man should not approach them as they are considered dangerous and may be armed. E. Baltimore Street, 3200 block, July 30, 1:30 a.m. A man told police a group of men had tripped him, then began punching and kicking him. They took his cell phone and $50 cash, then fled.

S. Spring Court, 200 block, July 27, 11:51 p.m. A husband and wife argued about a text message on the woman’s cell phone, and the man grabbed her phone and said, “You are not going to talk to anyone,” then fled. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

N. Washington Street, 100 block, July 26, 9:20 a.m. A woman told police she was out walking when a man grabbed her cell phone and fled. She screamed, but despite the fact there was a crowd nearby, nobody helped her. Police will follow-up.

Thames Street, 1900 block, July 26, 1:40 a..m. A man told police he had been held up by two men who threatened him with a knife and said, “You better have $40 or else we’re gonna stick you.” They went through his pockets, took his cash and then fled.

E. Baltimore Street, 2300 block, July 25, 8:29 p.m. A man told police he had been approached by a man he knew only as “Negro,” and that “Negro” had asked for $5 cash, then stabbed him and took his wallet. One man was questioned and later released in connection to the incident.

Foster Avenue, 2400 block, July 25, 9:55 p.m. A woman told police she had been grabbed from behind and forced to the ground, during which two suspects took her purse and then fled to a waiting car. She told officers all she had been carrying in her purse were cigarettes and a magazine.

N. Highland Avenue, 400 block, July 24, 11 p.m. A man told police the previous day, he had been attacked and punched by three men who then robbed him of his phone. He was unable to recall his phone number to give to police. He told police he had waited to call because he was scared and did not have a phone with which to call.

E. Fairmount Avenue, 2400 block, July 23, 9:10 p.m. Two men were out walking when a pickup truck pulled over and a group of men jumped out, threatening them with pocketknives. They robbed them of their cell phones and nearly $500 cash, then fled.

Aggravated Assault
N. Robinson Street, 500 block, July 30, 2:30 p.m. A man told police his child’s mother had been arguing with him. During the course of the argument, she beat him on the head with a baseball bat, then destroyed his property including a TV, clothes, a mirror and a CD player, and then began beating the man again with a cast-iron frying pan and threw bleach on him. She was arrested.

Charlotte Avenue, 1500 block, July 29, 8:30 p.m. A woman told police she and her brother in law, who had been drinking, had gotten into an argument, and that he had threatened her with a knife, then called her names and cursed at her. He as arrested.

S. Newkirk Street, 500 block, July 28, 2 p.m. A man told police his former tenant had chased him, yelling, “You got me locked up,” had attempted to punch him in the face, missed, and then cut the man with a knife, causing injury to his ring finger. A warrant will be obtained.
Eastern Avenue, 6300 block, July 27, 10:14 a.m. A woman told police she had been approached by a panhandler who asked for money. She refused and he began beating her. He was arrested.

S. Broadway, 200 block, July 27, 11:22 a.m. A woman told police her boyfriend, who lives with her, had arrived at their home in a drunken state, and began asking for the TV remote. She did not know where it was, and the man became enraged and beat her with a belt. He then fled. A warrant will be issued for his arrest.

Fleet Street, 2100 block, July 25,m 5:15 p.m. A man told police a second man had tried to run him down with his car, screaming, “I’d like to catch you without that phone.” The man had his wife call the suspect and tell him, “You got an ass-whipping coming.” When police asked what was going on between the two men, the suspect replied, “He does everything to go out of his way to get my grandson punished.” The suspect was asked to apologize and say he would discontinue his course of action. The suspect refused and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

N. Robinson Street, 400 block, July 24, 12:40 p.m. A man told police he was taking a shower when his mother knocked on the door and asked who was in the bathroom. The man replied that he was. The man’s niece then requested to use the bathroom. When the man came out, the niece started an argument with him, then sprayed him with pepper spray. She was taken into custody.

S. Bethel Street, unit block, July 24, 4:10 p.m. A homeless man told police he was attacked by a group of teenagers who left him on the ground and fled.

McElderry Street, 2300 block, July 22, 11:30 p.m. A man told police that a woman with whom he’d had a relationship in the past, had asked him for money. He refused, and she began throwing his clothing out the window of his house, then swung a broom at him, hitting him in the head. She tried to stab him with scissors as well. She was arrested.

Police seeking arson suspects

E. Fairmount Avenue, 2300 block, July 23, midnight. The Baltimore Police Department is seeking information concerning an arson that occurred on Saturday, July 23. Just after midnight, two suspects, possibly juveniles or teenagers, ignited what appeared to be a tee-shirt and placed it near a wooden storage structure that is attached to the Lucky Corner Convenience Store. The resulting fire damaged the storage structure and items within, along with the brick wall of the business, causing approximately $4,000 in property damage.

S. Ellwood Avenue, unit block, July 23, 2:18 a.m. A woman told police two men had threatened her with a black handgun and robbed her of her phone.

Oldham Street, 800 block, July 23, 1:20 a.m. A man told police a man in his 20s had threatened him with a knife and said, “Give me your money,” then fled after taking his wallet containing $700 cash.

Aliceanna Street, 2000 block, July 23, 12:48 a.m. Several women told police a man armed with a silver handgun had robbed them of their purses, phones and other property. One woman refused to turn over her handbag and the suspect, unnerved, fled.

E. Baltimore Street, 2100 block, July 21, 5 a.m. A woman told police she was out walking her dogs when a man walked up to her, pointed a gun at her and robbed her of her necklace, earrings, ring and watch.

Eastern Avenue, 2200 block, July 19, 9:35 a.m. Two men, one wearing a dark orange wig and one with a shirt over his head, handed a bank teller a badly misspelled note that read “Give me all tha money start with the large Bills fist and NO DIE PACKS Hurry up u only have 60 seconds to empty all the tilts and draws I want 100,000.” The teller gave the suspects some cash and they fled.

S. Wolfe Street, 500 block, July 19, 9:30 p.m. A woman working in a grocery store told police a man had said, “Where is the f–ing money?” and pointed a silver handgun at her and at another employee. The employees realized the gun was a plastic toy. The man then fled.

S. Baylis Street, 700 block, July 17, 12:01 a.m. A barmaid told police a man had pointed a silver handgun at her and said, “This is a stick-up, give me the money out of the register.” While the barmaid was at the register, the suspect robbed another patron as well.

E. Lombard Street, 4300 block, July 23, 1:05 a.m. A man told police someone had struck him with a bottle. He refused treatment and did not describe the incident other than to say the suspect wore a wife-beater shirt.

S. Baylis Street, 700 block, July 17, 12:01 a.m. A bar attendant told police a man entered, holding a silver handgun, saying “This is a stick-up; give me all the money in your register.” He also robbed a patron of $36 cash. He locked everyone into the rest room and then fled.

Foster Avenue,  2400 block, July 17, 10:15 p.m. A woman told police two men had approached her and two friends, pulled a gun and said, “You know what that is,” and robbed them of their purses and possessions.

Gough Street, 2200 block, July 16, 10:40 p.m. A man walked into a bar, pulled a silver handgun and said, “This is a stick-up.”  The bar owner asked him, “Don’t you know there are four cameras in here?” The suspect panicked and said, “If I just leave, you won’t call the police, will you?” He fled and the bar owner called police, who will get a copy of the surveillance tapes.

E. Baltimore Street, 3100 block, July 16, 11:22 p.m. A man described as black and in his 20s, having a bald or closely shaved head, tattoos on his right arm and a cut on his lower lip, entered a Mexican restaurant and pulled a silver handgun and said, “This is a robbery; hand over all the money in the register.” He also said, “Don’t call the police if you know what’s good for you.” He then climbed up on a chair and turned the security camera away, and fled with cash.

E. Baltimore Street, 1700 block, July 16, 1:50 a.m. A man told police three men had pushed him and his wife over and taken $725 cash from him. They were armed with a handgun which they used to hit his wife in the face before running away. All suspects were described as black males; one was described as having tear drops tattooed on the right side of his face. They were last seen driving a white Ford Crown Victoria.

N. East Avenue, 500 block, July 15, 11:35 p.m. A man told police he had been attacked and robbed by three men. Two were arrested; one was found to be carrying suspected drugs.

S. Broadway, 500 block, July 15, 12:25 p.m. A man was seen trying to steal several containers of Tide detergent from a store. An employee stopped him  and the man struggled, causing injury. He was arrested.

Eastern Avenue, 3900 block, July 14, 9:45 a.m. A man told police he was waiting for a bus when two men approached him from behind, pulled a silver handgun and said, “Give it up,” then robbed him of his bus pass, I.D., watch and $40 cash.

Boston Street, 2600 block, July 13, 2:20 p.m. Police responded to a report that two men had tried to steal baby formula, lotion, batteries and candy bars from a store, then, when an employee tried to stop them, one screamed, “I have a knife” and kept running. Police found the men and arrested them.

N. Haven Street, 400 block, July 12, 5:20 a.m. A man told police two suspects had told confronted and attacked him, demanding money. They took $220 cash and his boots and fled.

N. Clinton Street, 100 block, July 13, 1:30 a.m. A man entered a bar, pulled a handfun and said, “Give me the money.” He fled with cash belonging to both the restaurant and a patron.

S. Chester Street, 200 block, July 12, 10:05 p.m. A man told police two teenaged suspects had attacked him from behind and robbed him of his phone.

S. Ann Street, 300 block, July 9, 10:15 p.m. A teenager told police he and some friends were attacked by a suspect with a silver handgun, who robbed them of cash and a cell phone.
