Fuel Fund: The Fuel Fund of Maryland is recruiting volunteers to serve as instructors in the Watt Watchers program, an energy conservation and financial education program. Classes teach the basics, including understanding utility bills, energy saving tips to reduce bills, creating a budget and making homes and apartments more energy efficient. BARCS And Birds: The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter sponsors “BARCS Night at Aberdeen IronBirds” on Thursday, Aug. 13 at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.
