INFO NEEDED: Baltimore County Police are asking for the public’s help finding the driver responsible for a hit and run accident that killed a woman pedestrian at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The victim, 70-year-old Delores Stray of the 7700 block of Gough Street, was struck while crossing Eastern Avenue in the eastbound lanes just west of 54th Street, 21224 in Precinct 12/North Point. Investigators have little detail of the vehicle responsible but believe that it is a Mazda that sustained front end damage, specifically in the headlamp area. Anyone with information about the driver’s identification or location of the vehicle is asked to contact Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or www.metrocrimestoppers.net, 1-866-7-LOCKUP, or by texting a message to Metro Crime Stoppers, send to “CRIMES” – that’s 274637 – then enter the message beginning with “MCS.” Those contacting Metro Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and might be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Aggravated Assault
Brown Avenue, 6500 block, December 12, 12:50 p.m. A woman told police that her roommate was trying to evict her from their apartment and that when she refused to leave he began throwing household objects around. A male neighbor was called upon to intervene. Upon the neighbor’s arrival, the male roommate put on brass knuckles, took a boxer’s stance and announced to the neighbor, “I’ll take your f—king head off.” He was arrested a short time later.
McElderry Street, 3000 block, December 10, 1:50 a.m. A woman told police that she and her boyfriend were involved in an argument and that he had struck her across the face. He punched her after that, struggle ensued and the woman was injured. The man tried to strangle her, saying, “Bitch, you f—king with the wrong one.” He was arrested a short time later.
Eastern Avenue, 1900 block, December 10, 7:05 p.m. A woman told police that she and her boyfriend were arguing and that he had struck her in the face with a phone. He was arrested.
S. Caroline Street, 600 block, December 9, 11:18 p.m. A man told police that he was out driving when he stopped at a light behind a moped. When the light changed, the moped did not move, so the man sounded his horn. The driver of the moped got off and drove his fist through the window of the man’s car, then remounted and rode away. He later returned to the scene of the accident and told police that he had ridden away out of fear for his safety.
E. Lombard Street, 3800 block, December 8, 10:30 p.m. A woman told police that her husband, from whom she was separated, had forced his way into the house and attacked her, shoving her down the steps and slamming her head against the floor, saying, “I’m going to make you crazy” and “I’m going to kill you.” He strangled her to the point of unconsciousness and fled with her cell phone. A warrant will be obtained for his arrest.
E. Baltimore Street, 3400 block, December 7, 9:45 a.m. A woman told police that her boyfriend had punched her in the head and threatened to stab her. The boyfriend was arrested on the scene.
S. Broadway, 500 block, December 7, 10:25 p.m. Police responded to a Mexican restaurant for the report of an assault and found a man on the second floor, bleeding from a stab wound. He told officers that he was walking to the bathroom when a male suspect approached him and cut him with a pocket knife. A fight ensued and rolled outside the restaurant and a second man sustained injuries. The assailant was arrested.
Robbery
Eastern Avenue, 3200 block, December 12, 4:40 p.m. A man told police that he asked a neighborhood friend to drive him to a check-cashing establishment, telling him that he would give him a cut of his check once he had cashed it. Once there, he was unable to cash his check and as a result, the driver and several other suspects attacked and stabbed him.
N. Chester Street, unit block, December 12, 2:15 p.m. Two men, one armed with a gun, walked into a tavern. The gunman said, “Get the blue box.” The suspect grabbed the cashbox, taking an unknown amount of money out, and the two fled the establishment.
Eastern Avenue, 1700 block, December 11, 3 a.m. A man told police that while waiting for a bus he was approached by two suspects, one of whom said, “I have a gun” and then grabbed his money and his work badge.
Eastern Avenue, 6300 block, December 11, 5:45 p.m. A man tried to steal five Stanley tape measures from a home improvement store and was stopped by employees. He threatened them with a knife, then fled in an economy car.
N. East Avenue, 500 block, December 10, 12:50 a.m. A man told police that two suspects asked if he had a cigarette. When the man told them he did not, they threatened him with a knife, demanding money. They robbed him and fled to a nearby house. The victim gave the address to police, who were able to arrest one of the suspects.
Holabird Avenue, 6600 block, December 9, 8:19 p.m. Two suspects entered a fast-food restaurant and threatened an employee with a handgun. They fled with an unknown amount of cash.
Bonsal Street, 400 block, December 6, 7:30 p.m. A man told police that while out walking with his friends, he was jumped by four men who stole his mp3 player. One of the suspects told him, “If you touch my cousin, I’m gonna shoot you” while suggesting that he had a gun.
Burglary
Oldham Street, 700 block, December 12, 8 a.m. Someone broke in the front door of a house and took three pairs of earrings, an mp3 player and $200 cash.
O’Donnell Street, 4400 block, December 12, 12:10 p.m. Someone broke open the door of a bicycle shop and stole several bicycles, tires, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other property, along with a cash register containing $10 cash. A suspect was named. Some property was later recovered.
Eastern Avenue, 6500 block, December 10, 8:45 a.m. Someone entered a nail salon through a rear door and took approximately $15,100 cash.
N. Ellwood Avenue, 200 block, December 10, 10:40 a.m. A woman returned home to find three males inside. They fled upon seeing her.
S. Robinson Street, 3300 block, December 10, 12:12 p.m. Someone broke into a home through a rear door and took computers, watches, car keys, travelers checks and a handgun.
S. Robinson Street, 400 block, December 10, 5:20 p.m. Someone attempted to break into a house through the front door. The attempt was unsuccessful and the suspect(s) fled without taking anything.
S. Broadway, 200 block, December 8, 4:27 a.m. Police responding to a report of a store burglary found a man emerging with a bag in his hands. Inside the bag were 30 packs of cigarettes. The man was arrested and charged. He had used a large piece of concrete to shatter a window and enter the store.
N. Bradford Street, 100 block, December 7, 10 a.m. Someone broke into a home through a front door and took a microwave, computer, jewelry box and contents, a saw and a drill.
Larceny from Auto
S. Chester Street, 600 block, December 13, 12:30 p.m. Someone broke the window of a car and took a computer, sheets and a Victoria’s Secret gift set.
S. Decker Street, 600 block, December 12, 6:30 a.m. Someone broke into a car, possibly through an unlocked door, and took a wallet containing gift cards and $50 cash.
N. Streeper Street, 200 block, December 12, 5:15 p.m. Someone opened the door of a car and took a GPS.
S. Wolfe Street, 200 block, December 11, 8:05 a.m. Someone opened an unlocked door and damaged the console of a car to get coins out of the dash drawer.
E. Fairmount Avenue, 2800 block, December 11, 6:50 a.m. Someone broke the window of a truck and took 30 CDs.
S. Streeper Street, 900 block, December 10, 8:40 a.m. Someone opened the trunk of a car and took golf clubs.
S. Wolfe Street, 100 block, December 10, 11 p.m. Someone broke into a truck and took an air compressor.
S. Lakewood Avenue, 1000 block, December 10, 10 a.m. Someone broke the window of a car and took a GPS. In another car on the same block, a window was broken and property taken included a computer, accessories, mp3 player, GPS, a briefcase and gift cards to Starbucks.
S. Ann Street, 400 block, December 10, 10:50 a.m. Someone broke the window of a truck and took a GPS.
E. Pratt Street, 3200 block, December 9, 2:48 p.m. Someone broke the window of a car. It was not immediately known what was taken.
