Robbery
200 block S. Calhoun St., Thursday, July 1, 2:10 p.m.: A suspect walked up to a man and asked him for a cigarette. The victim gave the suspect a cigarette, and then another suspect jumped the victim from behind and began to strangle him. The first suspect went through the victim’s pockets and the pair escaped with the man’s wallet, cigarettes and cell phone.
500 block Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Thursday, July 1, 8:15 p.m.: A man was jumped by another man who looked through his pockets. The suspect took a 20-ounce bottle of Pepsi from the victim’s cooler and fled.
600 block W. Ostend St., Sunday, July 4, 5:02 p.m.: A man was held up at knifepoint. He ran away and was chased by the suspect. The victim found a police officer, who arrested the suspect.
Aggravated assault
2000 block Wilhelm St., Tuesday, June 29, 11 p.m.: A 14-year-old girl was punched and beaten with a bicycle tire. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
1200 block W. Pratt St., Wednesday, June 30, 8 p.m.: A man choked a woman. He was arrested.
200 block Penn St., Saturday, July 3, 3:15 a.m.: A man was arrested for spraying another man with pepper spray.
1300 block Ramsay St., Saturday, July 3, 6:30 p.m.: A man punched his 16-year-old girlfriend and ran away with her wallet containing $250 cash. An arrest warrant has been obtained.
700 block E. Fort Ave., Friday, July 2, 12:10 a.m.: A bar fight spilled out onto the street, and a man was thrown to the sidewalk, causing head injuries.
Burglary
1200 block Glyndon Ave., Monday, June 28, 5:20 p.m.: A man was arrested while trying to break into a house. He did not get in and nothing was taken.
1300 block Washington Blvd., Monday, June 28, noon: Someone broke into a house through the rear door and stole an XBox with games and a blue Mongoose bike.
200 block Warren Ave., Monday, June 28, 1:10 a.m.: Someone broke into a house and stole a Dell laptop computer, camera, and house and car keys. The victim was asleep upstairs when the burglary occurred.
1400 block Marshall St., Monday, June 28, 12:50 a.m.: A man stole two pizzas—one pepperoni, one ham—plus buffalo wings and Coke from a man and fled into a vacant building.
2000 block Ramsay St., Monday, June 28: Someone broke into a house under rehab and stole the kitchen sink, a refrigerator, and plumbing for the sink.
700 block Ryan St., Thursday, July 1, 8:05 a.m.: Someone kicked in the back door of a house after getting no answer from knocking on the front door. The resident, who was home at the time, ran out the front, and the suspect ran out the back. Nothing was taken.
Unit block Parkin St., Thursday, July 1, noon: Someone got into a house and stole a notebook computer. Method and point of entry is unknown.
300 block S. Woodyear St., Saturday, July 3, 7:30 p.m.: Someone climbed into a house through the bathroom window and stole a 19-inch TV-DVD combo, 150 DVDs and other electronic equipment.
300 block S. Mount St., Sunday, July 4, 1:25 p.m.: A man broke into a house through the kitchen window and was confronted by the woman who lives there. He ran away and nothing was taken.

1500 block W. Lombard St., Monday, June 28, 7 p.m.: A woman’s purse containing her wallet, Maryland drivers license, credit cards and cash was stolen.
1700 block S. Hanover St., Monday, June 28, 9 p.m.: Someone stole a GPS from a parked car.
1700 block S. Hanover St., Tuesday, June 29, 5 p.m.: Someone stole coins from a video poker machine.
1500 block Beason St., Tuesday, June 29, 5:45 p.m.: A woman was arrested after stealing a girl’s pink bicycle from a rear yard.
600 block Portland St., Tuesday, June 29, 11:30 p.m.: Someone stole a green Trek bicycle that had been chained to a rail.
600 block W. West St., Tuesday, June 29, 3 p.m.: Someone stole a DeWalt cordless drill and downspouts from a van.
Unit block Gittings St., Tuesday, June 29, 6 p.m.: Someone stole a rear Pennsylvania license tag from a parked car.
600 block Warner St., Wednesday, June 30, 10:30 p.m.: Someone pried open the driver’s door of a van and stole hand tools and other equipment.
