Aggravated Assault
Christian Street, 2000 block, September 1, 11:25 a.m. A man and woman argued, and the man held a knife to the woman’s throat, threatening her life unless she moved out of the house. He was arrested on the scene.
S. Fulton Avenue, 600 block, August 30, 11 p.m. A man told police that he had been attacked by a suspect wielding a knife, and that he had sustained cuts to his hand and left arm. The suspect was arrested.
McHenry Street, 2000 block, August 30, 1:20 a.m. A man told police that a second man had threatened him with a knife. The suspect was arrested.
Larceny
W. Barney Street, 100 block, August 31, 6:30 p.m. Someone broke the rear window of a house and entered, taking construction tools including a saw, drill and various hand tools.
Harvey Street, 600 block, August 31, 11 p.m. Someone broke into a garage and took a pair of women’s sandals (black in color) and various children’s books.
W. Hamburg Street, 700 block, August 31, 7:50 p.m. Someone stole a mailbox from a house.
Sargeant Street, 1200 block, August 31, 11:30 a.m. Someone stole a heat pump and copper wires from a house.
S. Charles Street, 600 block, August 29, noon. Someone stole a cell phone from a hospital room.
Larceny from Auto
S. Charles Street, 1200 block, September 1, 5 p.m. Someone broke into a car and took a bag, checkbook, credit cards and $5 cash.
S. Carey Street, unit block, August 31, 8:30 p.m. Someone stole the front and rear tags from a parked car.
S. West Street, 100 block, August 30, 8 p.m. A woman told police that someone had broken into her car and had taken her GPS.
E. Heath Street, 200 block, August 30, 8 p.m. Someone broke into a woman’s car and took a GPS and its sand-weighted base.
W. Fort Avenue, 100 block, August 30, 2:45 a.m. Someone stole a laptop and an mp3 player from a parked car.
Warner Street, 1300 block, August 29, 2 a.m. Someone stole two mp3 players and two cell phones from a parked car.
Burglary
Ramsay Street, 1700 block, September 1, 8:50 p.m. Two suspects came through the front door of a home without permission. They were arrested at the scene.
Stolen Auto
S. Woodyear Street, 300 block, August 31, 8:30 p.m. A Chrysler Sebring (2001 model) was taken without its owner’s permission.
W. Ostend Street, 100 block, August 30, 7 p.m. A car was stolen, but recovered by police later.
