Neighborhood Watch: Southeast 8/4/10

WANTED-Police detectives in the Southeastern District are seeking several suspects. If you see these suspects or know their location, do not approach them or alert them in any way; instead call Det. Joy Pegues at 410-396-2429. You may remain anonymous if you wish.

John Moore

John Moore, age 48, is wanted in connection with several assaults and robberies of elderly women in th Southeastern District, including (most recently) a woman who was feeding stray cats. He is described as a white male with dark hair, about 6’4” and weighing 230 pounds. He is driving a red older model pickup truck with a cap and has a last known address in Dundalk. He previously lived in New Jersey and is believed to have moved back to Baltimore. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Dwayne Goodwin, age 18, in connection with a series of armed robberies in the area. He is considered to be armed and dangerous, and may be working with an accomplice. Goodwin is African American, standing 6’ tall and weighing 195 pounds.

Female suspect : This female suspect is wanted by police in connection with a theft. She is a black female and is seen in these two surveillance camera photos, one taken at a McDonald’s drive-through, and one at a Giant Food store. She used her victim’s stolen credit card at both locations.

Call Det. Joy Pegues at 410-396-2429 to report sightings or possible locations of either suspect. All leads are being sought.

E. Baltimore St., 3400 block, July 29, 10:10 p.m. A man told police that while he was out driving, someone threw a brick through the window of his car.

Dundalk Ave., 1000 block, July 29, 9:30 p.m. A woman told police that she was stopped at a light when a man got out of his car and reached inside the window of her car, grabbed her by the hair and said (in Spanish), “Come here.” She hit the gas and drove off, eluding the suspect, who was described as a Hispanic man, driving a burgundy-colored midsize sedan.

N. Decker Ave., 600 block, July 28, 8:24 p.m. A teenager told police that he was in his bedroom on the computer when his friend walked in and started an argument with him regarding some CDs. A man came up and tried to separate the two. The friend went downstairs to the kitchen, got a knife and charged the teenager, cutting him. He then fled. A warrant was obtained.

N. Belnord Ave., 600 block, July 28, 7:50 a.m. A man and his girlfriend began arguing because he told her that she was playing her music too loud. The man punched the woman, who pulled him down the steps, causing him to strike his head on the wall. She then threw several beer bottles at him, causing injury. She was arrested.

N. Streeper St., 600 block, July 28, 11:35 p.m. Police responded to the report of a disturbance and found a group of individuals beating each other with baseball bats and golf clubs. Two people were arrested.

N. East Ave., 400 block, July 25, 4:10 a.m. A man told police that he was in his house when three men whom he did not know charged through his front door and assaulted him and his wife, punching them and hitting them with bottles. Neither could tell police why the incident occurred.

S. Dallas Ct., 200 block, July 19, 11:16 a.m. A woman attacked her husband, scratching him and hitting him with a broom. A warrant was obtained for her arrest.

Robbery

S. Exeter St., 200 block, July 31, 2:35 a.m. A woman told police that two suspects had asked her for a cigarette, then pulled a knife and robbed her of her purse and a ring worth $8,000. A woman who was walking with her at the time was also robbed of her jewelry and wallet. One of the suspects had a tattoo of the cross on his right forearm.

Gough St., 2300 block, July 31, 3 a.m. A man told police that three suspects, one of whom he knew only as “Shawn,” approached him and said “I know you have money. Give it up.” They began punching him and a nearby motorist saw what was happening and began beeping her horn. The suspects fled.

Foster Ave., 2400 block, July 31, 12:57 a.m. A man and woman told police they were out walking when a man, described as black with bloodshot brown eyes, approached them and threatened them with a handgun, then robbed them of a backpack, their cell phones and wallets.

Gough St., 2000 block, July 29, 1:20 a.m. A man told police that while attempting to find his door key and looking down at his door, he was attacked by two men who took his money clip, phone, house keys and credit cards, then fled.

N. Belnord Ave., 500 block, July 29, 10:25 a.m. A man told police that a group of suspects, one of whom was wearing a Yankees cap, ordered him to “Kick it out,” and robbed him of $22 cash.

Gough St., 4000 block, July 28, 8:45 p.m. A woman told police that a man she did not know had asked directions to Macon Street, then attacked her and robbed her of her wallet containing $7 cash.

Mason Ct., 200 block, July 27, 4:10 p.m. A woman told police that her daughter had attacked her when she refused to hand over her bank card to the younger woman. The daughter then cut her mother with a piece of broken glass, then grabbed her mother’s purse and fled. A warrant was issued.

Larceny

E. Monument St., 1800 block, August 1, 9:15 a.m. A man told police that he had purchased a car from a woman, but after having trouble with the title, had tried to locate her without success. It turned out that the car was in the process of being repossessed by a finance corporation.

N. Belnord Ave., 200 block, July 31, 11:15 a.m. Someone broke into a home through a back bedroom window and took a TV, fan, playpen, diaper bag and food.

S. Exeter St., 600 block, July 30, 12:15 p.m. A store employee told police that he saw a man try to leave the store without paying for body wash. The suspect fled but dropped his wallet containing his identification in the process.

Hudson St., 3400 block, July 30, 8 a.m. A man returned to his car to find that someone had taken the bumper.

Eastern Ave., 6500 block, July 29, 12:20 p.m. 10 shopping carts were taken from a grocery store and not returned. A witness described two white male suspects, one of whom had a thin build and light hair, and one heavy with dark hair, loading the carts into a green pickup truck. A license tag was provided to police, who traced it to a Harford County address, and will follow up.

E. Baltimore St., 2600 block, July 29, 12 p.m. Some loser broke into an adult day care center and stole a videogame system that was used for the patients’ entertainment.

E. Lombard St., 3800 block, July 28, 11:15 p.m. A man was arrested for trying to leave a grocery store with property including body wash, deodorant and a skin exfoliator.

Aliceanna St., 700 block, July 28, 11:51 a.m. A security guard at a hotel noticed a man coming out of a VA meeting who did not look as though he belonged. A check of the man’s pockets turned up a checkbook which did not belong to him, along with a wallet which also was not his. He was arrested.

Folcroft St., 400 block, July 28, 5 p.m. Someone took a life mask of Peter Falk from a front porch.
