The John Booth Senior Center has a host of programs — aerobics, line dancing, Easy Cardio Moves, Balance and Movement, singing, cards, billiards, Pokeno and bingo, to name a few. Just want to sit and relax? That’s okay, too.
Wednesday, Sept. 3, Luau -  Aloha Commission on Aging and Retirement Education (Welcome) with entertainment provided by Bravo Health. Stir Fry Lunch prepared  by the Chef from Eating Together in Baltimore served at 11:30 a.m.  Cost:  $3 for members which will be returned after our meeting. Sign up soon. At 1 p.m. Mr. John Stewart, Executive Director of C.A.R.E. and some of his Executive Staff will be at the center to Greet and Talk to our Members. This meeting will be followed by a Coffee/Tea and Donut Social
Wednesday, Sept. 10, 8:45 a.m.-3 p.m., Center bus trip to Friendly Farms and bingo. We play bingo when we get to Friendly Farms. At noon, we will sit down for a great luncheon of all you can eat chicken and vegetables and a crab cake (you can take the leftovers home if you’ve eaten too much). Then there will be a chance to visit the gift shop and grounds before we leave for home. $40/members.
Monday, Sept. 15, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Delaware Park Trip, $25 for members, has $30 return to use in the machines. Reservations must be made by Sept. 3.

Thursday, Aug. 28: One-mile video walk begins at 9 a.m.; two-mile walk follows. Lunch is served at 11:30. The 12:30 p.m. movie is “Liberty Heights,” directed by Barry Levinson and starring Adrien Brody, Bebe Neuwirth and Joe Mantegna. Redwood Street masquerades as “The Block” and the Hippodrome Theater as the Royal Theater. This is the last of the center’s “Made in Maryland” series.
Friday, Aug. 29: No bingo. Bingo resumes September 5.
Monday, Sept. 1: The Hatton Center will be closed for Labor Day.
Tuesday, Sept. 2: Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Yoga class is at 4:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 3: Eating Together lunch is at 11:30 a.m. The book club meets at 12:30 p.m. to discuss “Water for Elephants.” Art class begins at 1 p.m.
Deadline to file for federal stimulus payment is Oct. 15.
The Hatton Center is changing its name to Hatton Life Enrichment Center for Healthy and Active Aging. Representatives of CARE, the center’s sponsor, will visit the center on Sept. 5 to discuss the change. Bingo will follow.
